Hello All,
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!-Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2---Issue with Gorilla Protection which is coupled with its Display-
Problem Statement: I was dropped my Max Pro M2 mobile phone accidentally from my pant pocket which was 3 feet distance and Corning Gorilla Glass has damaged severely but my mobile display and all other functionality works well & good.
When I tried to reach Asus via Toll Free, they suggested me to reach out to Chennai-Egmore & Mount Road service center and these centers are authorized service center for Asus Mobile Phones/Laptops.
Bit surprised by the charges they quoted to replace Gorilla Glass which was around INR 5312 in one service center and INR 6000 in another service center. And when I dig more on why the rate was too high and they explained me that the Gorilla Glass was coupled with Display of the Mobile Phone and they need to replace both Gorilla Glass and the Display of Phone. By this stance when our Gorilla Glass {i.e. Not even withstanding one single drop from 3 feet distance but opposed to an advertisement in mobile features of 15 consecutive drops in 1 feet distance which was MORE FALSE Statement}.
Common Feedback from Service Center: Also, I have received feedback from one of the above service centers that they are handling more Gorilla Glass Damages from Asus phone Max Pro M2 and this is BIG scam of cheating common man money with such HUGE 5-6k cost for simple Gorilla Glass Damage.
Suggestion Made to Asus: I have asked Asus Mobile Phone department to add one disclaimer under Corning Gorilla Glass section of Max Pro M2 that, if you need to protect your mobile from drop on any feet distance, please buy one strong tempered glass on top of Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
Recommendation: If you still go for this mobile, better buy strong Tempered Glass on top of this cheap Corning Gorilla Glass, so that at least your mobile could be safe (not sure though).

other things are good but In terms of "camera" asus max pro m2 engineers better take Tution class from redmi note 6 pro and real me u1 engineers.lol

ZenFone 4, 26 Dec 2018Do not buy a ZenFone. Poor reliability, poor build quality and appalling after sales support.... moreYou sure? I saw Gupta Information System durability test of M1 & M2. The build quality is top notch. No crack/scratch even after being dropped from 6 feet at all angles except corners. They even put these phones in water for a minute and everything still worked fine even though these phones aren't water resistant.
As far as performance is concerned, people are playing PUBG at High graphics on M1 without lag. You can look up the videos. It only lags on high graphics if you use a screen recording app with PUBG, otherwise there's no drop in FPS or hiccups. M2 should be even better, thanks to its Adreno 512 GPU which is stronger + PUBG is optimised for it.
The battery is said to last around 2 days according to most users and camera is also decent, especially if you use Gcam.
They run on Oreo, Stock Android which makes them even better; better stability, better performance, better battery endurance. They are also rumoured to receive Pie update soon.
So, what issues are you facing?

1. Display in taxes typing problem
2. Battery drain
3. Average front camera ,etc.

I have it on my padfone E, android 4.3.
It's hidden, but you can use an apple that makes shortcuts to activities.
Not sure if that's the same for newer phones, though.

I do not use PIN or any other method to lock/unlock the mobile. I just swipe from bottom to top to unlock the phone. Sometimes I have to swipe 4-5 times to unlock (Phone does not unlock easily) Let me know whether this is normal or is it specific to my phone?). Thanks.

The genuine review is that the Camera of Phone is not upto mark. It is far below down than Moto G5 Plus.
Secondly the software is half baked and icons in notch area are poorly managed.Icons in drop down notification bar are of improper size.
Third, no fast charging.
I regret buying this device.

Camera is amazing with gc ports.

Please if they not release firmware , don't go for this.. nothing is there in that mobile ..
12k is good price for 6GB, but 16k they are saying no dual apps, no gallery,no music player (apart from Google photos,google music.)still now i didn't find how much memory it is, where can i see?, my answer not availble
