drake, 14 Jan 2019Dear poco hater. If poco was so bad phone then why it's still in Top 10 trending phones of week... moreHaters are going to hate. True. Not everyone can be satisfied so easily like you do. Missing tiny feature like NFC payments can be a big problem for others. Not everyone can take the corners cutting from Xiaomi like you do. Until you stop hating iPhone, others will still be there to hate Poco for what it can offers even for a $300 phone.

Dear poco hater. If poco was so bad phone then why it's still in Top 10 trending phones of week 2.phone was launched in augest and its still in trending list from last 4 and half months.
iphone is Not even in that list.it might have poor built and display.so what you expect glass body or gold body in $300. Haters will be always haters. if you have not used it you would never understand.we accept that display is little bit poor and it does have plastic body. but remeber it was first of its kind.there are many more to come.and just in their first launched the have sold millions of units.stop hating everyting idiots

Heisen8erg, 12 Jan 2019I have a problem understanding the meaning of flagship and midrange. What do you mean when you... moreSo you're saying the Pocophone should be Xiaomi's flagship. We get it.

Thing is, the Mi Mix 3 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition exist, and bar the unfortunate removal of the headphone jack, they're superior to the Pocophone in practically every single way:

      - NFC
      - SIGNIFICANTLY more LTE bands supported
      - AMOLED display
      - Better build and materials
      - Better cameras

A flagship device is meant to be a company's best product (e.g. New Ford GT, Acura NSX) built using the best technology they have. It's as simple as that. The Pocophone uses too many "lesser" parts compared to Mi Mix 3...

That clearly shows, how expensive this midranger is . . .
and you'll get much less for your money.

        - low midrange display (doesn't even mach the given specs!),
        - entry level build,
        - terrible mobile connectivity
(even a better - $100 - entry level phone has better 3G and 4G support),
        and so on.
Even some budget phones (about $200) and nearly all midrangers have better build.

Poco has only that SD845 and not much more to offer,
        just a lots of compromise.

        It's a very expensive midranger!
(For that price you can easily get a real flagship from last year,
without compromise - or even an up to date flagship with some luck)

If you are not a hardcore gamer choose a good midranger
and you will get a much better package for less.

I went from a Galaxy s7 edge to Poco f1 and I couldn’t be happier. Samsung cracked and broke 5 times (using a case for an edge screen is idiotic because it anihilates the aesthethics and functionality). Spent 300$ on display and back repairs and swore to never again use a glass phone! There is no adware, all bloatware can be uninstalled (unlike samsung&google bs), the phone is fast, irunlock works in Europe (if you put France as your country in Settings), it lets you put in location unlike Samsung. The screen is only a little worse than the Samsung super amoled - nothing too different. I have had Samsung flagdhips since the 1st galaxy (all of them) and I will never buy them again.

You ... moreLOL ROFL, this is one of the most stupid comment which I have seen recently. While people like this keep on complaining there are millions of happy customers with the phone. People like this cannot appreciate anything good. And just want to complain, complain and complain, even on when there is so much good with the phone. Pocofone has already received Pie update before Note 9, just saying.

Gandalfdenvite, 12 Jan 2019Pie has "Private DNS", I use "dns.adguard.com"!Changing the DNS doesn't block Xiaomi from sending data back to their servers, unless AdGuard blocked it which I doubt they did.

About having tactile feedback with a vibration everytime you unlock with the fingerprint scanner... My first phone with a fingerprint scanner was a Xiaomi. Then I used a Sony, which had that vibration. I found it irritating, cumbersome, noisy and a drain on battery. I prefer Xiaomi's approach of a vibration only when you mistouch the scanner. And other Android phones should at least have the option of turning it on or off.

What do you mean when you... moreFlagship derives from word flag and ship, meaning that a flagship product is the representation of a company. In pocohone case, the F1 is the flagship since it is the only product from poco/pocophone. But if it is in a broader sense, which in this case xiaomi, then the mi 8 and its pro version are the flagship

I thought that the naming of the phone was interesting, because in many ways I felt the Oppo F1 to be the best high quality low price offering they ever made (still to this day). Perhaps it was a reference to that phone?
