seriously why cant nokia make this powerful handset slim and shiny?
why does it need to be made of cheap looking plastic, brick size and flimsy phone. why? why do we get all of this after ripping us off? and why nokia if we get the good looking phones such as 8800 sirroco, we dont get the features we need? what a shame
Is this phone using propriety charging or using the USB port? The review here says that the charging doesn't start when USB is connected.
yeah i have very much interested in nokia i still using nokia
N 80 but i would like to go for N 95 with 8 gb its so gorgeous and looking very sensational
wat a model was it is absolutely unique in the market i have not seen ever like this model
This is my second N series phone.
First one was N72. and this phone is awsome,
The best phone ever made.
The more i am using it,the more i am liking it,
The camera is the best, better than a digicam.
i recommend this to all.
Hi all.I have a N-95 8GB. The phone is working awesome. But i faced a peculiar problem. When i start recording a video using my phone and use the Mass memory then the recording starts skipping or has a pause in b/w. But if a record using the phone memory i dont face any such issues. Anybody has any clue why this is happening. Please help me as i have bought this device thinking it would be flawless
Dear "n95 luvva luvva brot"
When you post a comment on a comment, better make sure you get your facts right.
More megapixels are definitely no guarantee for better quality pictures.
You say people make the pictures to big to put them on their desktop, that's why they lose quality!?? That right there tells me you should do the reading up on pixel facts your self.
Or could you tell me what monitor is out there with more pixels than a 5mp camera??? A 5mp camera has (2592 x 1944 pixels), a 24" monitor has (1920x1200 pixels), even a high end 30" monitor has (2560x1600 pixels), thus less than 5mp.
When you do read up, you'll find the lens is more important than the megapixels, and that is about the only part of your comment that's correct: "The Zeiss lens is just a advertising trick".
A fact is that any real 3mp camera with a light-strong lens is going to beat any phonecamera, no matter how many pixels the phone has.
But all this and in fact your whole post is beside the point of my post.
In my post I was just wondering how people could praise the N95 camera, while the pictures they posted looked so bad.
I now own the N95 8gb, and now I know they must have done something wrong, because it does make very nice pictures (for a phonecamera). (ofcourse it doesn't even come close to my 5mp Olympus C5060.), but for a phone camera it is great.
How my (mis)understanding of megapixels would say anything about my quality as a car salesman, is something you can't read up on, it must be just a brainflaw on your part. ;-)
By the way, I love the N95 8gb. It is the best phone I ever had.
The camera is great and the extra memory is helpful too, when you tape a wrestling match with the mrs if you know what i mean :)
SquonkSC you obviously werent a good car sales man as a 5mp camera over a 1.3 3.1 mp camera is going to be superior the main problem alot of people have when addiing photos on to there desk top is they expand the pics bigger than what the mega pixle can handle thus giving you a blury pic the camera is carl seizz yes but it is a marketing tool the sony cyber shot has excellent pic quality i suggest you read up on www.cameraworld.com to see the difference between the pixles see ay
I keep wondering how people all around the internet keep praising the picture quality of the N95. All the examples I have seen (fullscreen) are simply and utterly horrible. People, look at it closely! The pictures are all blurry and artificialy softened. And even then, they still have lots of obvious noise, even in blue skies in broad daylight.
Maybe it's because the people who put them on the web are using too much compression, because a real 5mp picture would be about 6 times the size of a 21" monitor. I really hope so.
I own a Nokia N70 and it definitely has the best (phone)camera I ever had. I used to sell cars, and I took all the pictures with the N70 and put them straight on the net without ever editing.
The 3mp N70 makes the N95 look like a 1.3mp camera.
I am still buying the N95 8gb though because of it's connectivity, and all in one features, but I will surely miss the superb pictures of the N70.
I can only hope that the real pictures turn out much better than what I've seen online.
If that's the case I will eat my words, and write an update.
I will have the N95 8gb on wednessday.
I'll report then.
the n95 8gb is rubbish,in my phone store we exchange or refund more of them than we actually sell.seriuosly!!!!
I find it hard to believe that GSMArena thinks the screen is of high quality. It isn't. The colours are so washed out compared to other phones that it isn't funny at all... that's my only gripe about the phone though, everything else is great.
why do not show the incomming caller name and number which is saved in phone like n82 because this days one person have maltiple phone number.
This is the phone
wow, I am using it , loving it, really awesome phone, all what you need: video quality, music quality, gps, space 8gb, wlan, tv out, ....and brilliant looks indeed ..this black color is perfect
the only drawback _in my point of view_ is still the battery .. even after it is enhancedto be better than the ordinary N95 ,, is still of short life span
overall, if you are still thinking , go ahead you fool and buy yourself one of these ;)
Awesome review. I just noticed the GPS screenshots. Acton Way? Hah, I used to live a block away from there! Hooray for Berkeley pride. Go Bears!
Bonjour!. I'm currently using my p990 and upgrading it. Can anyone tell me if Nokia n95 8gb's screen is larger than normal nokia n95? Thank you for reading my comment.
Its a great phone... and Id like to say that Im using Route 66 on my mobile wich works great with the built in gps receiver... you should update your review...
