Worth noting that navigation gestures (specifically 'swipe from the edge') conflict with hamburger-menu sidebars on the left side of some applications (you have to reach to the upper part of the screen to slide it out instead of performing a gesture - super uncomfortable) and swiping keyboards (e.g. GBoard - closes the text entry when you try to swipe the text starting from the letter on either side).

Does anybody know following: Is there a night modus like in the Huawei and Honor Smartphones implemented. Which you can use with a stativ and makes long exposure photos upto 30s exposure time... I don't mean the Pro Modus where you can choose this manually

On the camera pictures comparison page, the pictures taken by the mi9 seems totally blurry.
Is it just a wrong setting, or the picture are really like that ?
If yes, i'll buy the mi8 instead of the mi9

njsilva84, 22 Feb 2019I was expecting them to keep the OIS from the Mi8. Is that so difficult?This new sensor from Sony don't have optical image stabilization . It's too big for that.

ThanksTrue 960fps slowmo available only on sony and samsung phones because additional fast memory is required for this option ,all chinese phones use frame interpolation for it ,and of course it is not true 960fps video at the result .

I am more tempted by Huawei because of the batt... moreIMO take the mi 9, better SoC, greater display (Amoled vs LCD), same triple cam set up, but minus battery capacity, but the s855 combine with miui optimization can get you enough juice (95H Endurance Rating from review).

Good looking phone. Nice features. Though I would say to anyone wanting to buy a xiaomi phone to please go through the xiaomi forum like the mi 8 and mi mix 3 forum. it is full of complains and issues. from what i understand xiaomi does not provide support or customer service. i read the forum just now again and see much much more than 3 months ago. whats happening?. auto brightness issue in 2019? i was nearly going to buy mi8 but decided to stay far after reading up on the bugs and hardware issues. i owe a oneplus and huawei as backup. oneplus support is among best i experienced. next phone will probably be sony. i want to give them a chance again. My adivce is to spend little more. do not see specs like cpu or ram. also see software. software optimisation is most important.

Nicolas F, 20 Feb 2019It's anyway too much more than anyone would need in just a smartphone.Its never enough if you play demanding games for long duration, especially because its inside a phone.
