        This is the first time Xiaomi stepped backwards in its camera department. After all these years of improving your flagship's camera to compete with big guns (Apple, Samsung), this time you stepped back. Im talking about the removal of the OIS in the main cam. Seriously? What is Xiaomi thinking? Now your camera will fall into the midrange category and not flagship level. Flagship specs with a midrange camera. I dont understand Xiaomi this time. Your camera will be as good as the coming Redmi Note 7 Pro which will be using the same sensor w/o OIS. Image quality at night time took a hit and now you cannot even compete with top brands. Heck, Xiaomi cant even win over Oneplus' camera. Very disappointing move. I understand that you tried to keep the costs down.. that's why you slapped it with just a 3300mah battery, a single mediocre front facing camera, no IP rating, and only 64gb in starting storage. But the removal of the OIS is really a joke. Anyway, it's still a good device, but not the best for its price. Love from India.

              So the speaker is not as good as they have said, it should have been the loudest in smartphones with a good amount of bass. Also for a flagship the pictures taken in dim environments is not even on par with the Mi8 or even maybe the Redmi Note 7...disappointing on this point!

                                    It's a simple. If one phone have endurance rating (91h), another (61h), the first one have better battery :-}
                                    Anyway, all above 75h here in endurance rating is good enough battery for entire day (with 6h+ SoT and with data and wifi on). Those phones (here) with endurance rating above 100h are one of the best for battery life. note 7 is one example, even with 170$ price. M20 (from Samsung) will be another.

                                        I am deeply saddened that Xiaomi did miss the target with this phone.
                                        No OIS, no IP rating, small battery (Look at Huawei) and terrible night mode (it can be improved with updates, but the lack of OIS will never let the camera shutter go slower than 1/20th). No flagship phone should come without OIS, that's a joke. Why do we need a 48mp sensor if the shutter speed has to be high to avoid blurry the photos? Look at the night mode samples, the ISO goes over 7000 which is insane. With OIS the shutter speed could go down to 1/10th (instead of the 1/30th of the sample) and the ISO could be as low as 2500.
