Especially if phones are going to be morphing into computers that you dock similar to DEX.
I imagine a future with a gaming dock that extends GPU and support for controllers. Unless they tackle streaming really well then you won't need all the processing power.

I think a "notch" looks less annoying than the big black camera hole, and the "notch" can easily be hidden while the big black hole is more difficult to hide!
