Jeff, 25 Feb 2019No dude, guess you don't know the difference. What people are asking is refresh rate, but what... more" here’s something interesting. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is a 2017 flagship that is most notable for its 4K HDR display, but there’s another hidden trick up its sleeve: Its display panel actually supports a high frame rate 120Hz mode like the Razer Phone."
" It turns out that there are more Sony devices that have a hidden 120Hz display mode disabled by the kernel. XDA Recognized Developer Myself5 went digging into the source to confirm to us that the Sony Xperia X, Sony Xperia X Performance, Sony Xperia XZ, Sony Xperia XZ1, Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, Sony Xperia XA2, and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra all support this screen mode. Basically, any new Sony phone except for the Sony Xperia X Compact should support this mode."
Jeff, 25 Feb 2019No dude, guess you don't know the difference. What people are asking is refresh rate, but what... moreI know a guy that works at Sony, he told me that XZ2P was WRGB screen from LG and also 144Hz.
All this was found out little bit before the red XZ Premium was going to be out.
Agnis, 26 Feb 2019After 3 years of use one will be slowed down, the other will be just like new. You do the maths. That is correct, sir.
Goodbuoy, 25 Feb 2019Simple question : why should i even give 1 second of my thought to this over Galaxy S10?After 3 years of use one will be slowed down, the other will be just like new. You do the maths.
Can't believe Sony are Still leaving off the 3.5 mm jack on it's flagship phone. Also think 4K is overkill for a phone and I'd rather have the battery life improvements with a FullHD+ display.
Sony why is still very old charging technologies another phones Qi 4 plus use maybe more up now preaparing why 30fps very old 4k mode why very low always 3000+mah batteries why not 21.9 full screen body and screen under microphone and speaker why still 12mp cameras is very old you need it fastly new models you are very late you need it more more preaparing and this last wake up call for you maybe enough sony
So happy Xperia 1. But late (4 months later) lack of Jack 3,5. Purple is gorgeous and like first serie Z. Memory without SD is 128gb or 64 ? (not all informations are the same)
Support because only Japanese company in Europe for Mobile.
Hallelujah, 25 Feb 2019Let us wait for the first Sony's 8 inch bendable, foldable phone. These ones are too small.thats 20 years away
Anonymous, 25 Feb 2019They are, but factory locked.
Go to developers mode to unlock.
Even midranges X, X Compac... morehttps://www.androidauthority.com/sony-xperia-120-hz-display-mode-853299/
I can see this link for all it is.. from what I can see, messing with the kernel does not count as developer mode...
2) there is probably a reason that sony has kept it disabled and not talked about this till date.. ever wonder what that might be?
3) mind telling its effects on battery life ala razer phone?
Are these devices going to be launched in Indian market? Or Sony has really backed out from handset market in India..
View20 - sharpest stills, 1 - most real colors. In this case 1>20, those colors look so so real(samples on utub), you wont get the same feeling with bigger resolution. Wish they would use that new sensor on 16mm and 52mm...
The PPI of Xperia 1 is 420ppi? That doesn't make sense. By my wildly estimated calculations it is a bit over 600. Around 300 if resolution is dropped by 4 to almost FHD as it likely will be for many apps.
Here, in this review, under X1's Specs paragraph, pixel density is mentioned lower. It is more than 640ppi instead...
Anonymous, 25 Feb 2019They are, but factory locked. Go to developers mode to unlock. Even midranges X, X Compac... moreNo dude, guess you don't know the difference. What people are asking is refresh rate, but what you define is frequency. The only smartphones that have more than 60 heartz refresh rate are the Razers and rog phone Asus
Anonymous, 25 Feb 2019They are, but factory locked. Go to developers mode to unlock. Even midranges X, X Compac... moreSeeing as how Amoled can only got 90 hz right now, and the hit to battery that refresh rate puts, what would be the point of not sticking with 60 until the tech becomes more efficient and possible?
These bricks are not for one hand use, they are for two people use, one user at the bottom and the other user at the top of the phone! Perfect for two people playing games against each other on the same phone at the same time! Users need very deep pockets for these tall/long phones!
