Saw the "Optical Shot" and I was like... Rock N Roll! Finally! It's about time!
Nowadays it's all about standing out by being different. With its 21:9 Sony has really achieved this with the X1. Remains to be seen how many apps can fully benefit from that georgous cinematic screen. For being a multimedia phone, I would have expected a better battery like the s10 plus or Huaweis flagship phones. But a good attempt by Sony
Sony had a bad reputation in mid rangers. I have a XA1 Plus (released 2017 Sept) bought in 2018 first quarter with Android 7. After Oreo update, it became so laggy that it's a pain to use. It ruined the camera and the images and videos are unusable. No long term support too. So many issues. Never Sony again.
"RAW noise reduction, like the name suggests, is a noise-reduction algorithm that works on the RAW version of a photo, instead of the already compressed one."
That's odd. I thought that's the way everyone else is already doing it.
The first Xperia with non dual-front firing speakers in ages! Personally, I think this is the way to go because dual front firing speakers, although loud, tends to sound thinner than earpiece+bottom firing setup.
The camera specs seems decent, although not making headlines. Lets wait for the reviews.
They missed out the chance to totally revamp the UI. They are still using white colour despite having AMOLED? @_@
No no no no no... Sony no!
Why that 3300 battery?
Just why, just why...
3300 mAh for a 4k 6.5" screen....
And I would love to see a blind test to check if people can see the difference between a 4k and a 2k on a 6.5" screen, cause I'm almost sure no one can.
Still waiting for the 120Hz screen tho...
Mehhh...Xperia 1 letdown by the main shooter, uses 1/2.55 inch sensor with Dual Pixel, same module as Galaxy S7, S8, S9 and Pixel device i guess... then the battery capacity, really Sony? Its a big tall phone and can only fit 3300mah? Atleast give us 3800mah...
Well eagerly waiting for the pictures quality from their main camera.
