K.S.H., 02 Mar 2019Samsung's Galaxy Fold is far better than it.How so?
Anonymous, 24 Feb 2019How is this a hands-on review? Nobody got to touch it other than a Huawei staff... Check YouTube. Huawei invited some Malaysians to a dinner and surprised them with a Mate X for hands-on experience.
I Wonder how the soft plastic "glass" will endure scratch when in Pocket with dust or keys. The good point is it will be more shatter-proof than usual glass.
I'm going to be buying this phone especially if unlocked and US available I think it's awesome design
It looks cool man..Hmm, since Samsung exposed their teaser for Galaxy Fold, so this competitor don't want to be defeated by their rival (Mr.Big"S"). However if we want to purchase this sophisticated phone, so the Question is how to protect this phone from scratches or fall down on the floor? I'm curious, what it looks like on the back side?
RMN, 24 Feb 2019Nobody's got anything yet. Samsung & Huawei are on their iterations of a new concept. Both... moreWell yeah both are ridiculous. But Huawei is much, much better concept. And please dont put Samsung and practicality in same sentence, cause it would be an oximoron.
Mind you, a normal looking phone with a side roll out flexible screen extension is a concept I always had in mind when considernih flexible screens. But looking at these two, we are a long way from anything practical and foldable, and affordable.

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2019Here's an answer for you.. Samsung actually tried to make a durable, usable and practical devi... moreIf I had too much cash to throw away, I'd choose this design over the galaxy fold. Even if there's a higher chance for it to break after a fall, at least this design is practical in terms of daily use. I can't see myself using a phone like the fold where the basic screen is a narrow 4.6" and something like 60% screen to body ratio.
Anonymous, 24 Feb 2019Sorry Huawei but I just don't see how this can be durable, and how it can be protected! The ... moreDont cry baby, there are something called full body protector that you can applied to wrap up the whole phone.it is already big
55W Huawei SuperCharge? Oh yes! :)
The device looks interesting, but price wise and early stage of the technology which does not guarantee the display will survive even a month of heavy usage make it a very risky buy even if you have 2k to throw away.
I'd say let's wait and see.
namla, 24 Feb 2019Damn...that was pretty..ikr like a super model compared to Galaxy fold
2300 eur...thats too much. Just because it is foldable. For that kind of money it is better to go for a 2week long trip.
alexzhivil, 24 Feb 2019It's obviously limited edition and the price is accordingly, so It's not going for mass produc... moreHere's an answer for you.. Samsung actually tried to make a durable, usable and practical device.
How on earth is this supposed to withstand falls and everyday wear and tear??
There's no way to put a case on it!
And the freaking screen is entirely exposed.
Sorry but how stupid is that! Just no.
Looks like a cool thing to use and play around with in a house though.
