If you have a LG G7 or older phone, please upgrade, I had LG G6, it had many problems, can't charge, due to moisture detected, can only use wireless charging, then I bought the LG G8 in Red from T-Mobile in May 2019 at a discount price $600, omg, no problems, phone is beautiful, runs smooth, good picture, great battery, I'll keep G8 until it breaks or stops working. Then, I would buy LG v50, or if phone is fine, wait to see what else comes out for LG, but I highly recommend LG G8, or if you can afford it, the LG V50, not worth buying the high price Samsung s20 5g until the prices drop, the LG latest models have basically everything the Samsung s20 has, with a few extra stuff on S20 that aren't worth the price difference, at hundreds of dollars less!

My LG V20 is the last good phone! Removable battery! Sad they don't make these anymore! A battery will only last 2 years max! Phones are now disposable with a premium price! Sad! Sad! Sad!

We don't need stupid gimmicks. I won't spend my money behind some half-baked product. I need something proven, something solid.
But oth sure, it's your money, your choice.

1. The 3D TOF camera
2. The speaker under display acting as the second speaker.
People are complaining the notch and it's design and for not having the fingerprint reader in the display or having the cutholes in the display for the selfie cameras. Thats all but it's a fantastic phone specs wise but we will have to see whether the final product lives the expectations or not also the prices are important too. Who will buy the G8 at 900 dollars ?

Almost a perfect phone.... Yes not a so called new feature rich.. But has everything....oled screen(yes lg has improved on v30 ,now move on and get another thing to criticize), bigger battery, awesome sound and music, boombox speaker, fm radio for those who want, camera with pro mode like no other, better selfie camera nice design or somewhat like every other phone so no difference... Only lacking is sw update but better and stable sw is what one should crave for rather than just wanting next update and after getting one wait for another one from very next day without even enjoying the current sw.... That is just pure insanity....
But still people will criticize it... Now if it complete phone so they will want new feature now...

The oled g8 screen is not amoled, and the screen and home screen panel is gorilla glass 6, not gorilla glass 5

RIP camera bumps, finally. Between this and the Nokia 9 I hope it sets a trend and we can see the return of flat backs.

No doubt ,some features are innovative, like the dual display, ToF camera, PALM RECOGNITION, BUT I Think that both the phones could have been much better. too many things in terms of design feels like the last LG PHONE g7 and v40.(almost the same)
both the phones missed out on under display camera and fingerprint sensor
missed out on notch.(regular notch is now a history),
it also quiet hard to understand the strategy when the midrange phones (q60 and k50) have the waterdrop notch and the flagships have the regular...as always it would be very hard for them to compete the competitors (specially the Samsung)

Now, those phones are beasts! Thank you LG for keeping the micro sd slot, 3.5mm jack and the fm radio. Batteries can compete.
