Just noticed, second photo in samples with a cup is not telephoto camera. It's a digital zoom from main camera. Wonder if it's deciding for me what camera to use? As this 3x and 5x photo looks pretty bad, very pixelated. But 3 rest of photos are taken on telephoto camera and they are far crisper.

Are you sure P30 has the RYYB sensor filter as well? Because it has different sensor than P30 Pro (IMX 600 from P20 instead of the newer IMX 650).

I think Huawei's Kirin 980 SoC does not have the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader: only Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 (and Exynos) has it. Therefore the P30 could only implement an optical fingerprint reader, similar to some Chinese phones in 2018.
I'm not sure if the Kirin 985 (for Mate 30) will have an ultrasonic fingerprint reader... I think it's a patent issue.

I am a huawei fans, but i was disappointed this release.
Nonetheless, it's an upgraded version of mate20.
yet they increase the price because of the competitor like samsung and apple.
Looks like next phone will be oneplus6t or 7.
Hope oneplus don't make the same mistake.

Bloody curved screen again, no stereo speakers (I'd rather have huge notch with great stereo speakers), EMUI with locked bootloader, questionable in-screen fingerprint, expensive and not any faster NM cards, no OIS on main camera and no wireless charging on P30. To many compromises for such a high price tag.

Optical zoom is the difference between minimum optical resolution and maximum optical resolution. When people using 18-300 lens with DSLR, they might not always use 18 mm, but it's still 17x optical zoom.

So it's more 5x optical zoom.Dude, Huawei is comparing the P30 Pro cameras with respect to the main 40MP camera (27mm), thus they say it offers up to 3x optical zoom with the 8MP telephoto camera (80mm). You wont see people using the ultra wide camera by default, as it is only useful in certain areas such as super macro mode and capturing landscape shots.

Ron7x, 26 Mar 2019No 5G Network. Why?! No 5G bcos the networks are still not in place and 1st generation phones wont be enough 2 years down the line. So its better to wait at least an year when we have single modem supporting 3/4/5G networks and works seamlessly.

One of the best phones - P30 and P30 Pro. Unfortunately for that price no compromises are allowed. P30 Pro edge display is deal-breaker for me. P30 with no OIS the same - sad.

I don't like very low position of underdisplay figerprint reader. Look, she barely can reach it even with female hand. S10 have it a bit better.
