[deleted post]It's good to convince yourself otherwise, it might be good for your health lol!
And what about best camera phone Nokia 9 PureView
Does it match the quality and pureness of best color reproduction of PureView?
i expected a bigger gap, but all phones performance is similar, some better in things , the rest in others.
I would say nice job by Xiaomi. Even though it wasn't the best camera of them all, it absolutely smashed the value proposition for what it could offer with Mi 9. I was dubious to buy Mi 9 for its camera in comparison to big names. Nevertheless, now I am sure that not only I won't be missing too much but also I may have an edge in some certain scenarios compare to the other phones.
The next credit goes to S10+ for its macro shots, stunning. I really didn't know that it can do such a wonderful job without a wide angle auto focus camera.
As for pixel, it is still the king of night photography and completely takes it from Huawei bunch. (though I am also curious to see how mi9 explorer willdo against it with f 1.47)
Another credit goes Huawei phones for their exceptional zoomed in pictures, quite handy actually in P30 pro.
Finally, the iPhone will get only one credit for its selfie camera that despite having the lowest resolution, still doing a great job. But no praises for the rear camera setup.
Dxo marked p30pro video same score as mate 20 pro?! Goodbuy Huawei. 27 bitrate for flagship phone. That is a joke.
Anonymous, 27 Mar 2019Some brands avoid using 4K60 because the Electronic Stabilization does not work for this mode.... moreThe iPhone would like to disagree with you. As it stands, it's possible, they just don't put as much emphasis
P30 Pro's daylight photos are oversharpened and too bland. On the other side, zoom is impressive and night photos are excelent, similar to Mate 20 Pro.
SpiritWolf, 27 Mar 2019I was really surprised how bad were daylight shots from Samsung and Pixel compared to others.Really? I kinda liked them. They're all pretty good, but sometimes I liked the Galaxy, sometimes I liked the Huawei, and a few times I actually quite liked the Mi 9
nice test, but i'm missing some older phones. P30 pro has very similar photo compression to one older flagship, that wasn't participate in this test. try to figure out which one by yourself.
I know it's not a direct competitor in the zoom department but why no N 9.
Gsmarena, Night mode with the P30 Pro's tele camera would have been interesting. Previously Huawei's Night mode didn't support the tele camera.
"it was Huawei who first came up with those hand-held pseudo long exposures"
Not really, Google's HDR+ works in the same way as Night Sight and exists since at least 2013. The difference is that HDR+ only gives you a pseudo exposure of up to ≈0.8 or 1s , not multiple seconds.
I am so happy that I bought the MI 9 ! And that for only 430 euro!
I wonder what would be the result if the reviewer had used the Mi 9 Explorer edition which uses 1.5 aperture compared to regular Mi 9 with f/1.8
Oh there is no smartphone to compete cameras so arena had to put "world" in title
O didn't expect mi 9 to be that good in comparaison to other flagships it's really the best value for money
I was really surprised how bad were daylight shots from Samsung and Pixel compared to others.
