Interesting that I received the 2019.3 Security patch just days before this post. Doubt it changed anything, but I get the feeling they are trying to really catch up on that and be closer to Google on this. Especially since my OnePlus 5 got the Pie + 2019.1 update in late March (which I wasn't expecting ANY update after owning Samsung, Sony & LG handsets previously).

^This, so much. I absolutely HATE the glass back design regardless of whether the phone has wireless charging or not, but whoever thought that putting another glass to get cracked on a phone with no functionality whatsoever just for the """premium feel""" meme deserves to be kicked in the balls real hard.
The biggest issue with OnePlus 6T is the removal of the notification LED.

Best all round phone out there!
It´s no the best but it´s pretty good at everything. Nice design, good amoled display, good cameras, great perfomance....Oxygen OS is perfect, praised by most reviewrs out there as the best Android skin....
miles ahead better than any Xiaomi on the market
I'm a OnePlus 6 user and from my experience I can say that it is not a flagship killer phone. Speed is not only thing for a flagship phone. Good Camera is also a matter.
OnePlus is just a gaming phone.
For this price OnePlus 6 has useless Secondary Depth sensor where many companies midrange has useful lens.
Room light or low light Camera is too bad.
I'm so disappointed and hope it is my last OnePlus phone.
Anonymous, 04 May 2019"The missing headphone jack is almost excusable in our book because at this point there aren't... moreSadly only Samsung and LG are going for the headphone jack and Huawei had one for the Mate 20 but not for the pro version another one was Xiaomi for the Poco F1.
Anonymous, 04 May 2019Your cons are really subjective.
1. I don't require headphone jack. I use bluetooth earphones... more1. I need headphone jack because my cheap 800 INR Sennheiser earphones sound much better than my cousins 1500 INR Bluetooth headphones. Wired headphone are a established standard.
2. I need SD card because I have captured memories for many years of favorite places, people and things and some are even not in this world, I have a huge collection of music too which I definitely need in my phone as I cant carry my computer everywhere.
3. If I ever get drenched in sudden rain while riding my bike I have to be assured that my phone will still function.
4. If you don't have wireless charging then why go for a glass back simply go for a metal back which is more durable than the glass.
5. It definitely needs a useful secondary camera which they have addressed with the OP7.
Anonymous, 03 May 2019No headphone jack pass not big of deal
No SD card pass not big of deal since storage is big ... moreBoth of them are big deals for other people that's why Samsung is still sticking to the headphone jack. If the original OP6 had a headphone jack as looks as good as the 6t then there's no reason removing it. Just like the notch all others are following this Apple bullshit of taking out features like the headphone jack. Tomorrow they will take out the SIM slots itself and force you to use a dongle even for that.
Micro SD card slots are good for storing the memories you captured with the phone or your music library when the inbuilt storage fills up. Again not having a Micro SD card is Apple bullshit.
Anonymous, 03 May 2019The Google pixel has 3&4 has mega city notch and costs twice more, why are you not angry a... moreStop trolling when did I say I'm not angry about Pixel or the Pixel being a better device than OP or other brand. I did not even mention about the OP6t notch. Looks like you are drunk or posting in sleep.
"The missing headphone jack is almost excusable in our book because at this point there aren't many smartphone makers that do still include the port in their flagships."
For that price, it is INEXCUSABLE. It must be there as STANDARD regardless of price. There is MORE THAN ENOUGH SPACE in OnePlus 6T's design to have the jack at the top if they "can't do" it at the bottom!! Statements like this "excusable" reason "encourages" manufacturers to drop 3.5mm jack quicker!!
No :1 developer brand. Quality is top notch. If you want other gimmicks go spend 300-400$ more. Compare with the rubbish F1 ? Come on !! You can't compare BMW with Tata :)
In my country, the 6T and Note9 have the same prices. Same prices!
Yet the Note9 has insanely more features than the 6T. SD card, 3.5mm jack with AKG earphones, stereo speakers, IP68, pen, 2K AMOLED with no stupid notch, tele camera, MUCH better primary camera, wireless charging, 4000mAh battery, more sensors, more colors, man so many features I'm tired of even mentioning them.
OnePlus are nothing but mid-range phones from A to Z, just with flagship SoC. And that's it. I don't know why are they a thing.
Its expensive. Lack of headphone jack is big no excuse at least for next 5 years. Its fine they dont have one, we dont buy one.
Not agreed with review.
Camera on my op6 is great and 6t uses the same , its better than one on the xr .
I like my op6 and wish that i would have waited for op6t.
Vvvky, 03 May 2019The main Camera image quality is acceptable for it's price it's biggest cons are:
1. No Headp... moreSpot on. Other than wireless charging all those features enhance ownership experience.
Also, if most of these features are not required by a user then why bother with a phone with premium pricing.
I'm still very annoyed that there are no reviews about the audio quality that device provides while using wire headphones. I've been struggling with the constant dropping to half of its potential (which is not very loud from the beginning) randomly while using Spotify. Contacted op customer service - they advised me to update my device and make sure that I have the latest version of Spotify (which ofc I have). The overall experience with this phone is more than great but if I would know about audio issue (and completely lack of support from op) I wouldn't have spent 600 euros on this thing.
