whats the use, no more updates from google
I think the Honor 20 Pro is a great alternative to P30 Pro if you don't need that periscope lens and the same "camera quality". Also, no notch and no on-screen fingerprint reader.
It sort of quad cam scam. Honor 20 supposed to be a flagship but comes without OIS on main sensor (equals no OIS at all).
Pay $$$ for PRO version.
looks very similar to S10e
Ryan D, 21 May 2019If the phone won't get further Google updates and all the google services like gamail,YouTube ... moreWho needs Google anyway its all spyware anyway I am actually now gonna buy a Huawei phone this fall after they remove the spyware! #huawei #is #de #wei O3O

IpsDisplay, 21 May 2019LCD is the way to go, mature and reliable and keeps its quality Better sharpness because o... morei mean your username is ips display itself.
Anonymous, 21 May 2019Have to agree. Side fingerprint on the power button is the optimal placement, and OLED is way,... moreOLED has many pros over LCD, the only downside is OLED burn in, wich take years to become visible, particularly on high ppi screens.
Most people change phone after a maximum of 3 years, so burn in will be barely visible.
Ryan D, 21 May 2019If the phone won't get further Google updates and all the google services like gamail,YouTube ... moreas i understand, this will still have access to Play store, so you can get all the apps you want. it just wont have the next android os update or security updates
Anonymous, 21 May 2019its still bad enough... nobody will buy huawei for current prices.. forget itill buy the Pro version if its price will go down to 400'ish. the hell with OS updates. got here sitting with my V20 with nougat for almost 3 years (wtf?) and my life still haven't change.
camera looks good. and i hope with all the trade wars, i could still play android apps like PUBG.
Images on the camera look average, very soft
abigfanoftechs, 21 May 2019For people who don't use Google services, maybe? I prefer to use GMail app. However, GMail ... moreAround 200$??? It supports google services they will not remove them
Anonymous, 21 May 2019What?? They will not stop the support google services in the existing phones they will remove ... moreits still bad enough... nobody will buy huawei for current prices.. forget it

Now that Huawei is effectively on the US blacklist, perhaps Gsmarena can do its readers a service by adding a 'caveat emptor' tag on Huawei related articles to let the buyer beware should they be considering one.
Nicolas F, 21 May 2019It's a typo, it should be "73.97", because Honor 20 and 20 Pro have almost same dimensions.thanks for the info. still to large...70mm max for my next phone.
pixel 3: 145.6 x 68.2 x 7.9 mm
iphone xs: 143.6 x 70.9 x 7.7 mm
samsung s10e: 142.2 x 69.9 x 7.9 mm
are the only contenders right now. no curved glasse.
problem with this contenders are:
notch on iphone
hole in s10e.
pixel 3 could had better bezels. I don't mind bezels if it will keep stereo and good sound. I don't care about front camera.
I will buy in a heart bit a pixel 4 with a little less height with the same 5.5" screen. or the same size with a little bit of more screen. NO HOLES OR NOTCHES PLEASE. if not, i can wait another year..my SD835 still is lag free.
Ryan D, 21 May 2019If the phone won't get further Google updates and all the google services like gamail,YouTube ... moreWhat?? They will not stop the support google services in the existing phones they will remove them only in the upcoming devices
4.5mm cut out too big? It's the smallest on the market! Samsung's and Motorola's are 6mm!
Despite the hate Huawei/Honor get and the situation they now find themselves, I'm still glad this came out now. LCD is a little bit of a let down but not a deal breaker personally.
