Maybe it's just me, but it looks like the Zenfone 6 has (at least on paper) taken the place of One Plus phones regarding the best value for the money, while also keeping well regarded features like the 3.5mm jack and a fast, reliable FP scanner.
Let's see if Asus can keep up with timely updates as well as a reliable experience (not like the first OP phones were that stellar, they were quite buggy).
winner is old redmi3, 29 May 2019how is that: 1) Xiaomi Redmi 3 is compact size with body 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm, has 4000mAh ... morehow about that:redmi 3 is a 5 inch 720p display, with a sd615, while the zenfone 6 is a 6.4inch full hd+ sd855 phone. so... how about that?! and yet the asus lasts longer....
Anonymous, 29 May 2019Actually that's the wrong way because most phones go beyond the manual maximum when they are s... moreNo it isn't, because I don't use auto, I want my brigtness set by myself, not be set for me by the phone, the phone doesn't know my needs better than me.
If you want a flagship with great battery life, great camera and you are not willing to compromise the jack 3.5" port then you have only one option: Zenfone 6.
If you are ok with the battery life of today's flagship but still don't want to compromise the jack 3.5" then Galaxy, LG or some Huawei models.
If you are ok with the battery life of today's flagship and the lack of jack 3.5" on flagship phones:plenty to choose there....
Anonymous, 29 May 2019Shame about the horrible display. The display is after all probably one, if not THE most impor... more"LCD is just horrible"?
Okay... Remind me again, what technology is your desktop pc / laptop pc monitor using, and then ask yourself why that is?
Exactly.
Not to mention photographers, graphic designers etc. Never heard anyone of those using an LED panel...
Anonymous, 29 May 2019Shame about the horrible display. The display is after all probably one, if not THE most impor... morewith endurance rating 112 hours you would not looking screen all day long, probably only 4..5 hours when using also mobile data and then battery is empty and there is no point to look dead phone.
how is that:
1) Xiaomi Redmi 3 is compact size with body 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm, has 4000mAh battery inside, weights only 144g and have gsmarena battery endurance rating 107 hours!
2) Asus Zenfone 6 is big shovel, uncomfortable to use, have body size 159.1 x 75.4 x 9.2 mm, has 5000mAh battery and weights 190g and have gsmarena battery endurance rating 112 hours.
Yes, Asus battery last little longer, but unbelieavable that to last longer new phone needs to be big shovel with 190 grams!
For me, glear winner is Xiaomi Redmi 3 what is comfortable use by one hand and easy to carry with you.
Hate to burst your bubble GSMArena, but the Red Magic 3 literally just got released 2 days ago for EU and NA. It's not only available in China. Might want to change that piece in that review (battery section) and also you SHOULD review that phone considering it's this phone vs. the Red Magic 3 at this point.
DantE O2, 29 May 2019just put time and compare the result with other results in gsmarena don't be a blind audience.then check for reviews elsewhere ...
they measured 570 nit!
... don't be a blind audience! :D
and use your crappy adaptors if you like that so much
and let us some phones w/ jack!
DantE O2, 29 May 2019you shouldn't use headphones when charging bro, don't even use the phone when charging if you ... moreThere's nothing wrong with using your phone or listening to music with it while it's charging.
WTH GSMarena... Talking about jumping on the bandwagon. You've rated this device WAY too high given the rather poor overall results. Who cares about AmAzInG selfies.
DantE O2, 29 May 2019you shouldn't use headphones when charging bro, don't even use the phone when charging if you ... moreAnd what health issues could happen when using the phone while charging or listening to music while charging?
Anonymous, 29 May 2019I wonder if this review before or after the system updateSpot on! Asus phones are great out of the box but each "update" will break it a bit more and after the final "update", it will almost be a brick with no further fixes.
Love the Community, 29 May 2019And disabling me to listen through headphones and charge at the same time? Two way splitter do... moreyou shouldn't use headphones when charging bro, don't even use the phone when charging if you care for your health,
but for those who only want to listen to music with their special headphones there is always a way, like i said adaptors were made years ago.
DantE O2, 29 May 2019you do realize that there are adaptors for usb-c to 3.5 mm right? And disabling me to listen through headphones and charge at the same time? Two way splitter dongles will not fix this.
Love the Community, 29 May 2019Why do you care about how premium the phone is? Don't be vain. Mi9 doesn't even have a headpho... moreyou do realize that there are adaptors for usb-c to 3.5 mm right?
