Check the clock speed of your phoneYou were right, the clockspeed is the same as the 7904 but they named it as the 7885, tried a number phone spec verification apps which confirms 7904 clockspeed but recognises the as the 7885, bizzarre. Even a number eu/uk reviewers said the chipset was the 7885, that's disappointing.

what's missing?
obviously the NFC.. in this price range it should already be standard with all brands.
if author would have tried mobile payments, he'd know no future phone can be without it anymore.

What should I get, A30 or A40, I personally prefer the big... moreDepends on yiur needs, if you want a large screen phone with a large battery then go for the a30, if you want a compact phone go for the a40. I have the a40 and the size is perfect, no bigger then my old s6 with a larger screen. Performance should be better on the a40 I think, maybe wrong. Pretty sure 7885 is better then the 7904. Battery life is good on the a40 but not as good as the a30

Khuan, 25 Jun 2019Thanks for the sharing. I also found that the SAMSUNG Internet browser is better than Chrome. Lo e samsung browser, allot of users share your preference. I like that it has a dark mode and ad blocker.

Sandy, 25 Jun 2019I bought A30 2 months ago. Was happy until i went on holiday and required Google Maps. What a ... moreI think Samsung's new A series has some problem regarding GPS navigation. 2months ago i went Europe with my brand new A50 & old Lenovo K4 note. Offline maps installed in both of them (Google map & maps.me). None of those devices had any active sim card. During slight cloudy sky or inside bus/taxi my A50 often failed to locate my current position, but years old Lenovo K4 note performed perfectly at the same moment. But when i returned my home & put an active sim, the A50 works perfectly!!! I tesed several times & every time found the same result. Without active sim A50's navigation performance is very poor. on the other hand my wife's S7 edge perform same as my Lenovo K4 note without active sim/offline. May be the new A series heavily depends on assisted gps data (from mobile operator) rather than direct gps data. Thats why its offline navigation is so poor.

Khuan, 25 Jun 2019Are you sure this is the problem of SAMSUNG Galaxy A30 but not the problem of Google Maps? I find citymap app more accurate then gogole maps
