Love this phone after only 12 hours. Gonna be putting it through its paces, but so far it's amazing. Big upgrade from my Moto Z3 Play

Anonymous, 30 Jun 2019Don't compare this phone to galaxy a series that has shitty cameras and plastic build. This p... moreif I got it right, Mi 9T doesn't have *hardware* dc dimming, but *might* get a software enabled such.(?)
..Mi 9T Pro will have the hardware dc dimming (called v2.0). All other recent Xiaomi phones with AMOLED screens - only via patch, maybe. How different are the two - i don't know.
am i getting it right? :)

Rockzzz, 19 Jul 2019What is the best phone between Realme X vs Mi 9T/Redmi K20?Let's list the diffrences here :
Mi 9t, better display because of smaller size and higher pixel density, front and back glass, better hardware, has an additional ultrawide camera, feels premium, more bandwith and higher screen to body ratio.
Realme x, cheaper, faster face unlock, tougher because of plastic back(maybe?), has an 8gb ram and 256gb variant but a little more expensive than the 6gb 128gb variant of mi 9t.
For me personally, i would choose the mi 9t because its just better overall. Just add a few bucks which is worth it for me

Rockzzz, 19 Jul 2019What is the best phone between Realme X vs Mi 9T/Redmi K20?It seems as though the mi 9t is the better phone, however it is more expensive. I am currently debating between buying one of these two, however the realme x does not have 4g b28, which in Australia is a must have, otherwise you will be on 3G so much more. B28 does most of the 4g coverage in Australia. But, the realme x does have a bigger display, faster charging and higher base storage capacity while also having the highest ram capacity. However, everywhere else the mi 9t wins. Much better cameras, has nfc, much better soc (730 vs 710), buffer battery etc.

You compare this phone with a oneplus 7, which is 33% more expensive! That doesn't make any sence.

Arion yap, 03 Jul 2019How about the gps performance?I'm actually waiting for Notebookcheck's review just for the GPS performance test. They offer better in-depth hardware test than GSMArena.

Kris, 03 Jul 2019Disappointing battery life given its capasity. With 8nm SoC and Amoled screen it should easly ... moreThe results were not that trivial to be honest. SD730 is rather new SoC in which Redmi has implemented first for the K20/Mi9T while SD660 has been implemented way before the release of the RN7, it has been optimized well before. I would believe that SD730 would be improved over time. Oppo Reno is a different beast, slightly higher battery, superior SoC manufactured on even smaller process, with only 4 low-power cores compared to 6 of 730, it will beat it on lighter task like web browsing. For the RN7 having better scores of the three is simple, weaker cores sips very little amount of power which will translates to better battery life BUT that does NOT mean it performs better, it might lag, it might have delays but performance was not being measured when it comes to battery runtime tests.

Bossku, 08 Jul 2019How to determine the speed? Xiaomi has not invested in UFS 3.0 yet. If they were, they will announce it for their new phones.

habi, 09 Jul 2019how xiaomi can offer such an unbelievable price ? peoples now a day only seeing the cheap p... moreXiaomi does invest less, if not totally, on marketing and advertisements. Samsung, Apple, Vivo, and Oppo for example hire famous personalities (actors, basketball players, etc.), huge billboards, flyers, lots of retail stalls, ads (TV, radio, Youtube, any social media platforms). All of those costs huge amount of money to produce and maintain. Those companies recuperate their profit by offloading the expense to the consumers by giving higher initial pricing on their merchandises. Xiaomi's ads were mostly on social media, I never think of it as bad for consumers, it's even preferable for me especially in todays information boom generation where ads became irrelevant (not totally) and users can now readily find lots of fact checking and comparisons before sinking their hard-earned cash.
