As it stands, to me as a smartphone minority, I think glass is only useful if wireless charging is added. Marco M, 02 Jul 2019You're absolutely right :-) My list was mostly focused on average users, but for advanced u... moreYeah, this was my main reason to choose the Mi 9T ( K20 ) over any Huawei , Honor device with Kirin 810 which is supposed to be more powerful but Huawei doesn't care about bootloader unlocking or developers support so, I can get the Mi 9T with SD730 and use custom kernels and Magisk moduels to overclock CPU , GPU , improve memory , enhance battery performace and use a custom rom then outperform the K810. All these can't be done on most ( if not all ) Huawei , Honor devices and I would have to stick with the crappy EMUI ( even MIUI is better imo ) and can't control the SoC performance.

... moreThere's something you forgot about the Mi 9T which is its developers support as Xiaomi always release kernel source codes of their phones faster than any other brands and their support for developers make their phones able to have so many custom roms , custom kernels and more .. so users can switch from MIUI to other roms such as Pixel Experience to get fully stock android or use kustom kernels to improve performance or battery life.
Apart from the unique , attractive design and support for Gcam ( camera2api ) out of box as you also didn't mentioned these features.

For same general UI and app drawer, there's the Poco launcher, but rumors say MIUI will also receive app drawer shortly. Otherwise using third party launcher with app drawers isn't exactly difficult :-)

I'm not familiar with HTC's update record as they are pretty much invisible here where I live. No one buys them anymore.
The conclusion is clear to see. The Mi 9T is a stellar performer and compared to the above mentioned phones bring a lot of features that are relevant to most people, camera versatility (from ultrawide to tele), camera quality and battery life. The SD730 also has some very powerful CPU cores, so whilst the GPU is weaker, which is only relevant for hardcore phone gamers who should pick other phones than any of the listed ones, any normal user won't experience it as weaker - because practically speaking it isn't.
