My brother has purchased the Mi9 and I have got the Redmi K20 pro.
Nicolas F, 06 Aug 2019Why should you care about "which is the flagship"? The smartphone either meets your needs or not.The reason I ask is which is the flagship, is because I simply want the best value for money. But my question was answered by another user. The k20 pro doesn't support all the North American LTE bands, therefor mi9 by default for me.

Nicolas F, 06 Aug 2019What about SGS10+ ?Quite high too but take look at Mi 9. Unfortunatelly it looks like Xiaomi is SAR champion :) -I was not checkin em all brands, though. And it doesn't necessarily mean anything bad, though it's not any advantage either LOL. It doesn't exceed limits.

Main differences:
Mi9 -notch, no 3.5mm jack, wireless charging
K20Pro -popup selfie camera means notchless, better battery. No global version yet available (4G bands support for every country).
That second question I'm havin hard time to understand LOL. See specifications for more info.
