I love my Poco F1 but wanting (not needing) this new one. Can get the 8/256 so very fine. Also Global version but need to know if this will work with USA phones eg. Verizon?

I've had redmi k20 Pro sice 2md of July and I couldn't be more satisfied.
Fast phone, 256gb storage, great bezeless screen, quick charge is amazing, has a headphone jack, it takes amazing pictures... It's just an option that can't be beaten (for a casual phone user). It's so fast as well, MIUI is a great platform, easier to control then stock Android.
I could be more satisfied only if it had IR blaster and wireless charging.

If you experienced issued after update with any device, factory reset should fix it.

So you get more, for about 2/3 the price of a Honor 20 pro. Honor 20 pro seems like a bad deal in comparison. Paying 50% more for not really anything better.
Trade war insecutiry doesn't help the Huawei device, and I see the upcoming Mate 30 won't come with google play or any other google apps. So will the Honor 20 get any android OS updates? I wouldn't be to sure.

Xiaomi plenty of reasons to be chosen above zenfone 6. Actually I wanted to buy the z6 but you literally had to wait 3 months to be able to get your hands on one here in Europe. Also, Asus' screen sucks. poor visability outside and not a good enough ips panel for $500.
Asus also big, thick and heavy so ergonomics also not ideal.
software is a personal choice and prices depend on region aswell.

Retaining it would mean less profit because people would just buy the lowest or the mid-tier trim and just supplement it with even larger microSD.

They are causing trouble, because t... moreThat is certainly a valid point, but then it's like saying counterfeit car tires exist and negatively impact the experience, so let's make all car tires non-removable. Or that counterfeit ink cartridges exist, so let's make inkjet printers have non-removable ink cartridges.
The real reason is probably because of a combination of saving space and also being able to charge a ridiculous amount (relative to SD card prices) for more storage space. Granted, SD cards are a lot slower than the internal flash storage, but this point is moot for most consumers because they store movies, games, pictures etc that don't require fast storage anyway
