TechRadar, 01 Oct 2019Good points.

I'll b... moreReally, you're just being too emotional to think all the criticisms here are directed against iphones because android phones like Google's Pixel phones, Sony Phones Huawei, Xiaomi and Samsung phones get heavily criticized here as well by opposing camps.
As I said, Gsmarena is a predominantly android site so obviously even if Sony fans, Samsung and Pixel fans, etc. criticize each others' camps, there is very high probability they will also criticize the iphone adoring camp. It's just the way it is. That makes GSMarena user forums dynamic and interesting.
GSMarena moderates and reviews forum exchanges. If you are saying these specific exchanges are toxic and unhealthy, you can always report to GSMarena and have all those toxic, unhealthy, or offensive posts removed.
You can actually report/complain to GSMarena an offensive post. And you can suggest to them to heavily regulate the forums the way Apple strictly regulates iOS. But really, if you want a 'G' (General Audiences) rated forum or a 'GP' (Parental Guidance) rated forum, Gsmarena is not one of them. I'm sorry if iPhone owners are used to strict regulation in iOS and would expect the same in an android dominated forum. Say what you want about android users. That's just the way it goes. You can go to iPhone dominated/regulated tech sites that censor offensive remarks about iphones (majority of them heavily sponsored by Apple) if you really want an iPhone-friendly, iPhone-sanitized forum.

However, you can check the other Android flagship reviews here in GSMA. I'll bet a thousand bucks that most of the toxic commentaries come from Android geeks slinging mud, and rarely there are dumb iPhone users present on those discussions. That is so, my friend, since most Apple users basically don't care about the other brands due to their sheep-ish nature, as people say. Those toxic entities in the discussions make talking about mobile tech stuff less and less enjoyable compared to pre-iPhone/Android era.
And that lost enjoyment is the emotion you might be undermining.
AnonF-85937, 30 Sep 2019Yep, you do :’D thanks for the laugh! If you only bothered to do a Google search on the syllogistic fallacies, you would have realized by now that the joke is on you and your fallacious arguments. :)
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2019While I get your point. There are some faults in your argument.
Fistly, Android has 74.5% mar... more85% android market share is annual data from IDC (not quarterly):
We're back to my original comment (on page 7). Amazing how this argument has extended this long.
To summarize, you don't buy a Ferrari because it really is better for bumpy city roads with heavy traffic (and sometimes flooding) where the power and extra speed matters. You don't buy it because it gives you a more spacious and luxurious accommodation or sound system like a regular upper midrange Toyota sedan that costs a fraction of the price. You don't buy it because it gets you to the destination faster. You buy it because it gets you to your destination with style, image and prestige. To claim otherwise, that is, buying it because it really does provide the best driving/commuting experience - comfortable leather seats, great audio system, powerful air conditioning, large cabin, smoother ride in bumpy roads, etc., is hypocrisy. As I said in my original comment (on page 7):
"Waste your money on the latest iPhones that have nothing significantly new to offer because you can, and because it gives you better image of your excellent taste, high social status and gives you the prestige you want, but don't ever make the mistake that these latest iphones are the best smartphones, or will give you the best, most customizable and versatile user experience money can buy".
Unless if you consider the admiration and compliments you receive from your friends, neighbors and colleagues for sporting the newest, most expensive iPhone weighs 80% or more of your user experience, in which case, all the rest of the specs and features don't matter.

Fistly, Android has 74.5% market share. All English speaking countries and countries with a lot of money and higher percentage of educated people prefer iOS. This website is in English! This would bring the expected percentage of user base for each platform closer together.
Secondly, Sony, LG, Samsung are all direct competitors as they are all Androids! There's no ecosystem involved so criticism in those articles is to be expected. Now 90% of people commenting here have no interest in apple devices and would never buy one or can't afford one at all. So no the amount of criticism apple gets from users on GSMArena is not justified.
Reading the same hateful comments again and again and again is tiring!
I use both platforms! Before I got an iphone I was loving Android but I liked apple products, just couldn't afford one.
If you liked German cars would you like to visit a car website and ALL comments in ALL articles about say BMW was flooded with Korean/Japanese drivers criticising? Even as a general car fanatic?
To wrap up, iPhones are phones for more developed countries and wealthy countries. The DO provided the best UX regardless of specs. Apple doesn't even give the specs! Reviewers rely on benchmark software. ( There's speculation that the new iphones have a dedicated 2GB of ram for ISP). You cannot compare apples and oranges! (pun intended)
Now let the minority of people who ARE interested in iPhones to enjoy an article without being called names and bombarded with spec numbers. Do like iPhone users do and leave android articles to the android users.

TechRadar, 30 Sep 2019Truth be told, iPhones have an overall better user experience, from hardware to software. Not ... moreTruth be told, you got some things right - like when you said specs (especially raw processor speed) is not all that matters in a phone. :)
Gsmarena is a free site. It reviews mostly android phones and as expected, more readers here prefer Android phones over iPhones. Besides, with android phones making up 85% of the market, what do you expect? iPhone love?
In defence to your wrong perception, let me just reiterate, flagship android phones here routinely get criticisms too, with some criticized as heavily as iphones: from Sony Xperia (top criticized android brand) to LG phones, to Samsung flagships, to Google Pixel phones, to Xiaomi and Huawei phones. It's not envy. It's just the way discussion forums go. If you call iPhone criticisms iPhone-envy, then you might as well call Pixel criticisms as Pixel-envy or Samsung criticisms as Samsung-envy or Huawei criticisms and Sony criticisms as Huawei-envy, or Sony-envy respectively.
Another thing: android users comment on iPhone articles because there is universal interest in where smartphone technology is heading: it is not limited to the latest Android phone advances only, but iPhone developments as well. iPhones copy camera features (low light camera modes), hardware (ultrawide cameras), and other android features (phone shape/design, dark interface /dark modes, widgets) from android phones in the same way Android phones copy from iphones (notches, fingerprint scanner, phone shape/design, etc.). It's just the way it is so don't be too emotional about iPhone criticisms in GSMarena.
