Anonymous, 05 Nov 2019This is a lie. I have a 9T pro and the only update I had was from MIUI 10 to 11.I must be using global stable version.
On global beta, you get weekly updates.
Stable updates are pushed in 2-3 months time

I bought this phone a few weeks ago and I'm so much in love, I'm buying another one for my wife and thinking about the third one for our oldest daughter.
Performance-wise, there's nothing wrong with this phone, it can go head to head with the best out there and it costs significantly less, BUT...

It doesn't have SD card slot, which is for me the biggest issue.

Also, get ready to go through settings and switch off a bunch of intrusive, spying settings that will record your every move and everything you do and send it to someone.

In any case, it is a beautiful, fast and well built phone. Give it a shot, you won't regret it.
And oh, buy a transparent case. Reviewer is right, it is shame to keep phone like this hidden.

Theo, 05 Nov 2019Just check its SAR VALUES!!! Forget its specs, see your health!!!!The SAR value is 1.300, which is still safe for daily usage, the limit is 1.600, if it was over the limit it wouldn't have even hit the market, so what's your issue?

You'd rather put phones under this large umbrella of Chinese phones. You sir are living in 2010

That back is hideous. It's no wonder Xiaomi included a dark case to cover it. At the least the black version is normal.

Also, MIUI is total garbage.

Technically this won't be a problem. You just won't like the 700,- USD price tag that will come with these specs.

A "long term review" within 6 months of release?

Man, OnePlus has really spoilt people. Chinese phones aren't known for their software upkeep. So how about a "long term review" of phones after 18 months of release.

The back is a head turner while the UI is plenty fast with tons of useful features.

You are just jealous coz Xiaomi is providing premium experience at low price which your overpriced toy can't match.

The camera quality can actually be improved by installing GCam, which is not a problem on the Mi9T and Mi9T Pro. No root required. Night shots, portraits, zoom become on another level.

I have the carbon black one, so far no issues. The screen protector, that I got is a bit crap because it actually covers part of the display. I tried the pop-up camera only once and probably will never use it ever again, I am just not into cameras. Without using my mobile internet non-stop, my battery is around 2-3 days while using wifi at home and gaming ~90min per day on average.
