The LCD is a little bit of a setback in the case of this Phone but not the end of the World.

What i like is the kirin 990 and the separated balong 5000 chipset for 5g. This should be a better battery saving Option then a process or with integrated 5g chipset

IMHO the super lightweight P30 Lite is the best phone to get for what it offers around $300. It launched at $400, and is a bit old, but this phone reminds me of S10e.

Blacks look blacky until you start hitting 70% brightness. In bedtime, it is not much noticeable unless you want to, and that is a tradeoff I am willing to take considering they do not make my eyes watery at 2 hour bedtime reading sessions, do not burnin over years and are durable on drops.

Just like Samsung's photos, with over pronounced colours (that looks nothing like real life colours) AMOLED just look better on a 5-6' devices.
But even Samsung is not going to use it on TV, but they use QLED which is very similar to the LCD, with it's backlight, that should not bring burn-ins

LCD is 85% of the market and is a far mature technology.

I don't like the LCD panel in Huawei and honor phones. Redmi, realme they provide the amoled panel in budget phones too. Huawei and honor really needs to learn from them

Whackcar, 26 Nov 2019View 30/30 Pro are both decent smartphones in specs, but they're nowhere near as stylish &... moreI definitely agree. When Honor V20 came out, I was extremely impressed by its stylish design. Sure, it only had 2 lenses on its back so functionality wise it might have been limited by today's standards, but at least it wasn't cluttered with so many lenses, and the "V" pattern on the back panel gave the device a very unique look that makes it stand out from the rest.
This one has a less appealing gradation pattern like the one found on Honor 8 and the ugly camera design kinda ruins everything for me. I know I'll get used to it as more and more manufacturers adopt this design, but as for now I don't find it beautiful.
