Its a costly dead pixel, EOD. Just like an ended era of their Ara.
Google will eventually shutdown its dead pixel business before 2021 and they are good at shutting down projects.

Cheap China phones being laggy? What do you think, should Chinese phones use Sd855+ at $100? There are several great Chinese phones with minor hints of lag even after years of usage (look at Mi A2 or Redmi Note 5 Pro). Ignore Vivo as they tend to have lots of bloat. Even Samsungs does a bad job at RAM management.
Iphones tend to have more natural colors out of the camera and it has been this way since a long time. Yes I have compared it to other phones of its class myself.
Maybe still more to argue with you as I can't type in my comments while seeing yours. But please educate yourself. There are many non legit reviewers but there are legit ones too

1. Google needs to talk with Adobe
2. Usually dng files don't need to be supported by Adobe in order to look good. It's Google's fault. When the Pixel 4 was released, the dng files were unusable. But then Google released an update, which fixed the dng files.

Please educate yourself and don't give me argument like "I know some people using the Redmi 4a and Note 4/5 here and the phone still goes strong with almost no issues" its still not enough to give the big picture and that's what I called crapp

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2019Given the price and battery life I am not sure how you can give the phone 4 starsIt's 3.9 stars...
And 3.9 isn't great for a flagship device.
Flagships must be at least 4 stars above.

There are hardly any battery issues, unlike its Vivo and Oppo counterpart. Also, I know some people using the Redmi 4a and Note 4/5 here and the phone still goes strong with almost no issues.

Anonymous, 01 Dec 2019If other flagship phones (even budget phones) didn't break after applying that much pressure a... moreCorrect. It's also expensive. Not worth paying the price for a budget-like phone. Depending on your region, iPhone 11 is cheaper. Chinese OEMs even cheaper and better. And unfortunately the Pixel 3a is still too expensive and below par other than the camera, remember the Xiaomis
I forgot to say that Adobe doesn't support Pixel 3a dng files, so they are very desaturated. But Adobe supported Nexus 5x dng files. It shows that Google doesn't try to achieve the best camera experience anymore, otherwise they would make sure that the dng files are supported. The Pixel 4 had a similar issue in the first week after its release.
I bought the Pixel 3a because the Pixel 4's camera is so disappointing (bad white balance, no white balance presets, purple shadows, portrait mode can't be used with the second camera, no 1.85x zoom button, etc). But even the camera of the Pixel 3a is disappointing. I compared the camera of the Pixel 3a with the fantastic camera of the Google Nexus 5x in HDR+ On mode, these are my first impressions:
Pixel 3a's default mode has slightly worse image quality than Nexus 5x HDR+ On mode: slightly more blown out highlights, much worse auto white balance and maybe even slightly less details. The low light autofocus is also much worse and in extreme low-light conditions the Nexus 5x HDR+ On photos can be noticeably brighter than Pixel 3a HDR+ photos, the preview is also much brighter, so you can see where you focus on.
Pixel 3a's HDR+ enhanced mode can have slightly less blown out highlights than the Nexus, but the white balance is still much worse under tungsten light, Night Sight has the same terrible white balance. And when you update the Pixel 3a, Google removes the white balance presets, which the Nexus has.
Apart from the disadvantages the Pixel 3a's camera also has a few advantages: The advantages of a Pixel 3a camera over the Nexus 5x camera are a zero shutter lag HDR+ mode, a noticeably better low-light zoom, a better portrait mode and more low light details in Night Sight mode (if Night Sight can focus and if the white balance isn't unusable).
Battery life sucks, overall system performance is average, storage is small, charging is relatively slow, face recognition is serious security flaw, lack of finger print reader.
There are no real advantages besides camera.
To me that all that is not good enough to be considered best phone.
Google definitely needs to bring back the white balance presets!
Given the price and battery life I am not sure how you can give the phone 4 stars
