Anonymous, 20 Dec 2019Don't really understand what the writer means for the conclusion. They mean, everybody likes to bash the Note for being a Galaxy S redux, but at the end of the day, it's simply a better does-all phone.
I dislike the Note 10 because of its poorly implemented OneUI (it is user friendly but buggy and slow, compared to most other Android OS). SoC throttles early and not ideal for gaming. Face Unlock is useless. Punch hole is a bad idea, too. For those saying the display is great, everything is great except the overblown blues (without blue light filter) and of course, very low PWM flicker (common in OLED though, so that's ok). Other than that the design is good, the camera is nice, and the phone is not heavy unlike iPhone. I'm basing my user experience I have from my S10e, which is pretty average handset.
Come on GSMARENA, you managed to write a Note10+ long-term review but no Samsung Galaxy Note9 long-term review? This is not fair.
Don't really understand what the writer means for the conclusion.
The first few lines explain my situation perfectly. Ususally I use a note for a month or two and then switch to something else but this one keeps me holding on.
Best display? Yes it is beautiful but nowhere as sharp as the Xperia 1.
Four months.
Long term.
How about a year or more of heavy so we see possible problems cropping up? Or is it a trend to forget something exists once the bandwagon moves to the next hip parade?
Yes the on screen FP is horrible. I'm at a point where I use only face unlock but when it's time to use Google pay I get frustrated with the FP. Using pin code in those situations is much faster than FP. I won't buy another Samsung with on screen FP, it is really really bad. Soon to be 2020 and Samsung can't even get this straightened out, horrible user experience.
