When lunch in India??
Kaloyan, 28 Jan 2020It's 550 nits, thanks for noticing this! This changes everything, it makes the display at least average if not even a bit above average in terms of contrast ratio. The initial numbers looked worse than about anything in the last years.
I hope you'll someday come with a concrete way to measure headphone output. It's pretty important and a clear comparison would be nice instead of "average/above average/worse than average". For example, I had 2 phones with "below average" output in the reviews, one was a few dB lower than I wanted, but the other was good enough for me.
Good for the rest of the world, 240 USD is too much for us. Poor Iran, 240USD is almost equal to my salary
This is the phone with the new 64MP Sony IMX686 camera sensor, the successor of the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor found on the secondary camera of the upcoming Samsung S20 Ultra.
Anushka Ghodke, 27 Jan 2020Super too goodAwesome
Aierlan, 27 Jan 2020They have a 765g version as well How much more does it cost compared to the regular one.
Good phone overall. But I wonder when this trend of adding inconveniences as a feature will end? First it was glass backs, then it is massive screens, now it's punch-holes and elevated rear cameras. When I read that whole work-around Xiaomi have done for those two-hole front cameras, I wondered, why can't we just have a slim bezel up there. And why are all phones coming with elevated rear cameras rather than being flush with the body. If the argument, is 'But you will anyway put a case...' Well, then why have a back at all? Just give users an exposed back and have them put a case. Same thing with glass backs. 'It doesn't matter if they are fragile or are fingerprint magnets. Everybody puts a case.'
If phones were built durable and beautiful, they wouldn't need a case. Curved screen corners eat into space, too.
Apologies if this sounds like a rant, but a bit tired of great phone and communication technology being ruined by bad hardware design. There is no minimalism, subtlety, functionality, durability. All phone designs are now about being massive, ugly and fragile.
Notsure, 27 Jan 2020The worst contrast ratio screen in recent history. It's shameful, they should have got a better LCDSir from a contrast point of view
But you realize that this display has superior colour accuracy Vs Samsung's S10 and even the iPhone 11 series both LCD and oled
At a delta of 1.0
And 1.2 nits of low brightness thate crazy low for a LCD hell for a smartphone screen overall
This is a high quality display without a doubt

It would have been perfect for that 120hz ... moreCPU is not problem. MiUI is.
Sharp has many midranges with 120Hz, they do not lag.
What about about the speaker setup? You didnt mention anything, it's pretty important for, so if you could judt upgrade the review with a speakers comment, that would be great. Thanks in advance.
ALERT: IT CURRENTLY HAS NO NOTIFICATION LED feature, IT HAS A white LED light at the top at speaker grille edge. For reasons unknown Xiaomi has not activate it
