"The S20 and S20 Plus as of writing, NotebookCheck reports that the two devices offer a mere 1.06x zoom camera. The phones merely seem to be cropping via the ultra high-resolution cameras and using software processing to get to 3x and 10x “hybrid-optic” zoom then."
As for the S20 Ultra offers a 4x periscope zoom camera.
So "maybe" the V60 camera is ok and while the overwhelming bashing will continue .... Its just some info for the non biased people.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 20202x lossless zoom is there. With gcam this can get better pictures than most 2x optical zooms ... moreFor the price they ask for these phones I want a dedicated telephoto with 5x optical zoom. For less zoom the regular camera already do a good job. The P30 Pro have a good price now. But I'm waiting to watch if a new model worth more despite the brand.

Bart, 01 Mar 2020What are You guys saying?! I got LG G7 ThinQ, the android 9 update was late, sure. But there ... moreYou must be in Korea or using a korean variant to say that. coz outside KR the support is crap. They even end up pulling out/closing mobile department in some countries.

Well done LG... As usual.

What are You guys saying?!
I got LG G7 ThinQ, the android 9 update was late, sure. But there is an update almost every month now. Mistakes they didnt learn a lesson upon? Camera in auto mode sucks in G7, algorithm is to blame, night shots are bad. Since V50 or even V40 its much better. Smaller battery? You cant say 5000mah is small. No OLED in flagships? Changed that with G8.
Be better than throwing lame punches. Say what You mean.
There is much room for improvement but saying they dont learn is an absurd.

It certainly looks interesting. Sadly there are many issues with fingerprint sensor being old optical, possibly not as good photo snapper, not improved ultra wide, really poor sound capture quality (I bet it's just pre-production issue), lower resolution compared to older LG V phones, notch even with those bigger bezels, worse speakers compared to older V series.
It's a nice looking bulky phone but so many disadvantages, so many questionable design choices/changes ... it's still on my list (unlike S20 Ultra), but it's overshadowed by potentialy better hardware introduced by Sony ... potentially, Sony always messes up after all.

Nobody should be wasting their money on an LG phone, LG V60 included. Zero software updates for MANY international variants even in a flagship model like in the case of my H990DS LG V20 (ESA-xx variant), is a CERTAINTY in LG phones. It's not the V20 only, mind you. Just go to the V30, V40, and G-series forums. LG Mobile's PATHETIC, HORRENDOUS, ATROCIOUS software update support is highly selective. If you have a dual sim international model, you're going to have zero/NIL software updates, while another variant of the same phone as your's will have one and one only and security updates very far and few in between. Don't tell me I didn't warn you. Buyer beware! Oreo's project treble or LG's new software support division did nothing to LG's PITIFUL software update support.

this phone from the very beginning has worse specifications than Samsung, if it is priced too high again it will be a total failure. Why LG doesn't learn from mistakes

i think that lg going back to their formula from the g2 g3 era reducing some specs to keep prices down but still selling a good phone may workout pretty well for them

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2020Samsung are the fastest now behind google even one plus delay this days.He asked about how long LG keep updating its phones, not how fast. Please understand the question before spouting non-related answer. BTW Samsung is not the fastest because it is only rolling out Android 10 this year, while Oneplus already got it last year.
