Look Sammy really suck with Exynos since S9 but that doesn't mean their Exynos was always bad. You might be new born kid here that's why you are not aware of. Check out the old articles here, how much we praised Samsung for each of new Exynos announcement. It's bad that they hadn't done well optimization for S9 or S10 but the chipset optimization alone not responsible for this. The GPU also count here massively. Although good optimized games like Fortnine (phone gets heat through playing) can be played in 60 fps. Asphalt 9 can be run in higher settings as well. There lot of games are well optimized and can be played without any such issues. Yes few heavy game like PUBG isn't well optimized for the chipset still can play smoothly in 30 fps thought I'm pro PC gamer and these game mostly feel like I'm playing dolls of kids. So from next time come here after learning.

In my country, Asus ROG Phone 2/realme X2 Pro are rather cheap. They cost less than half the price of a S20+ or iPhone 11 Pro. And they're equipped with Sd855+ chipsets. The X2 Pro also takes nice shots according to my friend who owns the base (8GB RAM) model.
Using Exynos does not make handset prices cheaper, it only profits Samsung. And you know that chipset bottlenecks gaming, application, and camera performance seriously. Apple is no longer the biggest cheat in the mobile industry. Samsung is. Let's just wait for iPhone 12 Pro, Oppo Reno3 Pro, and Mi 10 Pro to crush S20 into pieces xD

iPhone 11 can actually manage HDR Extreme (60fps) in PUBG Mobile without any overheating or stuttering. COD Mobile can also play at Very High graphics extreme framerate (60fps) and antialiasing without lag. BR Mode works fine, maybe just a few frame drops but it's not noticeable or disrupting. Zombie mode works great and no frame drops observed at all.
Even recent Note 10 Exynos can't manage Balanced Extreme in PUBG Mobile without any stuttering or overheating. Oh Samsung advertised COD Mobile in its Note 10. Unfortunately gaming performance is garbage. Can't even play either Zombie or BR mode smoothly at very high graphics and framerate, just stutters a lot and overheats.
Go defend your rubbish Sammy phone. I am sure Mi 10 Pro will crush S20 and S20+. Next iPhone 12 Pro will also trample S20 and even Note 20. Exynos and OneUI combined is a disaster.

Even a non-retail version Snapdragon version can be a lot faster than the Exynos retail one.
Of course there are likely optimizations (software update) that can marginally improve performance, but it's the chipset to take account of after all
