AnonD-919531, 01 Mar 2020Who gives a stuff about Benchmarks?? Means nothingYes you're right, no one cares about benchmarks. Gaming phones should theoretically beat any standard phone including Apple's iPhone if benchmarks didn't lie.
That guy never used a Samsung with Exynos SoC. Even my S10 Exynos stutters a lot in PUBG Mobile at balanced extreme (and then heats up a lot). Throttling is almost instant in Exynos chips. I mean, how can undemanding games such as Armed Heist or Pixel Gun also stutter at first few minutes of gameplay? Funny isn't it? Already set screen res to HD, turned off CPU Limiter, and tweaked Game Tools performance and didn't help a lot.
Current phones and even 2018 iPhone XR/XS can play at very high settings. iPhone XR can already play PUBG Mobile at HDR Extreme (without antialiasing to prevent overheat), which was the chart topper excluding gaming phones. Also that phone was also used by streamers and competitive gamers by quite a lot in my country. Asus ROG Phone 2 is also used a lot but that's a gaming phone so let's ignore it.
Exynos chips also provide mediocre battery life and weak camera performance. iPhone XS with smaller battery has the same life as 3400 MAh S10...
Exynos is just rubbish. Don't rely on benchmarks. Especially Antutu that prioritizes Chinese phones and strangely the ROG Phone didn't top up the chart.

In practice I would barely use a night mode, which takes more than 3 seconds. I have a Pixel 3a and the handheld night mode can take up to 7 seconds. That's annoying.
By default a night mode shouldn't take longer than 1s in my opinion, but there should be at least an option for a longer total exposure time.

The low light dynamic range of the S20 Ultra seems to be excellent and probably the best on the market. Though the night mode images are extremely oversharpened and the colors can look a bit artificial sometimes.
