4000 mAh battery from other ... moreLol on what basis did you calculate those months?
Someone can charge their phones 3 times in a day since the Xperia 1 had such terrible battery life with lower capacity and thereby end up using more charge cycles causing degradation to set in way earlier than other Android manufacturers.
Sony ain't anything special when it comes to battery tech, they merely playing catchup to Chinese flagships.

But for 8K is ridiculous.

4K is 1/4 of 8K. It was supposed to be much more than 12% difference.
Be sure this on 8K screen will look much worse than 1080p from camera.

The only way Xperia 1 can take better pictures than galaxy Note 10 is in Manual mode.
But then Galaxy Note 10 has one more trick up its sleeves. The galaxy Note 10 can utilize gcam. While Xperia doesn't even have a proper working gcam.

4000 mAh battery from other = no more than 3500 after 15 months.
Companies that sell tons of phones know they will make tons of money by replacing batteries. Main reason for 60W charging.
My friend has the Xperia 1 and Note 10 Plus & I can tell you Sony's image processing is way better than Samsung. Sony is much cleaner, sharper but never over sharpened,no horrible grass and trees looking like an oil painting. He showed me two indoor images taken with Xperia 1 and Note 10 Plus and the Samsung was more grainy, pixelated and had a horrible pinkish tint. Sony now working with their DSLR Alpha team has much more natural, mature image processing and not OTT HDR blowing everything up too bright. The S20 Ultra is NOT the revolution in image quality. Move on
Utter dissapointment. Especially for a phone of this price.
Even iPhone 11 Pro Max and Huawei P30 Pro scores higher than that.
The 100x zoom is just not needed at all, considering hardware limitations and only 5x telephoto which is equivalent to the P30.
Performance is also marred if using an Exynos chipset, as I've repeatedly said, Exynos 990 still can't even touch Apple A12 or Snapdragon 855 in terms of sustained performance. It also potentially thermal throttles quickly. It also has poor image processing, thanks to the weak chipset, and I wonder if the phone is really capable of 8K at 24fps video recording, with that chipset of course.
That said, consider buying a regular S20 or S20+, maybe once the review comes out. S20 Ultra is just a pointless addition to the Sammy family. S20 is a very fine enough phone according to me (tried that phone).

That 70mb bitrate is for 4K60 not 4k@24fps. 80mb is pretty respectable for daylight.
Besides, All those bitrate values can be changed via a third party camera app.
So quit bit*hing.

Lmao, this exists on all phones with fast charging since gen 1 plus newer fast charging tech generates most of the heat at the charging adaptor so battery is not super affected.

Around 600-800 charge cycles before it starts to show degradation. Plenty enough.
Users shouldn't be robbed off the option. Other folks who are scared of fast charging technology can charge it at slower speeds.
This is already the best display on the market. There is no arguing about that.

It's way better on s20 ultra than 11 pro max.. It does take better snaps for sure.. Crispier, way more detailed and shap, much less noise, better colour during night mode snap, better maintaining of lighting objects (bulbs or lights), cleaner image, longer night mode exposure by 8 sec probably compared to 3 sec on 11 pro max, even night mode for u.wide cam on s20 ultra while iPhone doesn't have.. Although I agree with you on dynamic range performance but it can be fixed through software update and you may know how much it was best on note 10+

- Screen is 120, locked again at 60. Sony was first to buy 120Hz back in 2016. Even midranges have.
- Faster charging will decrease total number of cycles battery can give. One battery charged by 20W will give more cycles than same battery charged by 40W.
Be sure when someone puts Xperia 1 II beside S20 Ultra, everyone will see Galaxy has subpar screen quality compared to Sony. Same way Note 10 was beside Xperia 1.

Future Leader, 28 Feb 2020Exynos 990 is obviously better at single core performance than Snapdragon 865I think it's on par from Benchmark tests that we have seen.
Earlier Exynos used to be more battery efficient compared to SD.
Also used to excel in single core by quite a margin.
This year it's lagging behind in every department from battery efficiency to multi core performance to thermal throttling.
