Also most reviewers lack a certain manner of maturity and patience, not bothering to follow up and re-review the device after firmware updates, checking for camera and battery performance, among other things. That's why nobody really know how long the batteries of 100W quick charging phones really last.

Most reviewers probably don't even know the complete list of setting on phones, and don't bother asking or researching. To be fair to them, they have timelines to follow, and the only person who suffers, is the customers.

The Last Oracle, 02 Mar 2020This is from the other thread on gsmarena.com, regarding the S10 lite (https://m.gsmarena.com... moreI'm not a samsung fan or user, but I agree with this. Phone manufacturers most likely will give improvement in the future updates for their flagships (like Huawei, samsung, apple, sony, google). Sometimes also for their midrangers (but don't hold on to it). It's pretty normal if in initial release, something is still not optimize yet.
The problem with reviews are they just gonna review these devices in the begining, but rarely do a revisit after a couple updates. This is due to a lot of phones that being review are just being lend by manufacturers to the reviewers, so they only have a couple days (or might be a week) to review the devices.

Kendra Shields, 02 Mar 2020You are amazing my friend:) Thank you for this informative post. I really need a new phone now... moreI would advice you to wait for atleast 2 firmware for the S20 Ultra (and the other S2p phones) to release.
1 is already in the offing with improvements in autofocus (?) and image quality, both for photos as well as for video. The price will also reduce after a few weeks (6-12).

The P40 will be a great phone, but whether it will be better than the S20 Ultra, will only be open to scrutiny after the S20 Ultra gets 2 firmware updates. Also, the lack of Google Services, UNFORTUNATELY, is Huge.

The 11 Pro Max is a great phone, and though I love the video quality (especially with FilmicPro) I don't really like how it takes photos. They have way too much saturation and the white balance is absolutely rubbish. Everyone looks like a badly touched up wax idol out of Madame Tussaud's.

Wait for a few weeks. You wont regret it.

This is from the other thread on gsmarena.com, regarding the S10 lite
        (https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s10_lites_first_firmware_update_adds_super_steady_at_4k_other_camera_upgrades-news-41784.php)

"The first update for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite brings new capabilities to the phone’s camera. Despite its name, the device straddles the line between the S10 and S20, having the design and some of the features of the latter.

The biggest improvement that comes with this update is that the Super Steady video mode is enabled at 2160p resolution (even the S20 flagships are still stuck at 1080p-only Super Steady, but that will probably change soon)."

For all the whiners and all the genuine feedback givers (the brethren of yours truly), the S20 is destined for some kickass camera features and improvements, via a (few)firmware update(s).
Be patient and let Samsung listen to what needs to be worked on and improved.

I want to either buy the S20 Ultra or the 11 Pro Max. Do you know which is best camera-wise?

Or should I wait and get the Huawei P40 Pro?

higher, 02 Mar 20201. Meizu used Exynos 2 years ago, they switched to Snapdragon. Actually with VIVO and Motorola... more1. Doesn't matter the company is famous or not. It isn't the thing you said.. I showed your ignorance.

                2. Qualcomm introduced their 64 bit chipset sharp at one year and two months after.. Ignorance at its best.

And stop showing articles from others. Show what you got inside your empty head.

And article literally refers to Qualcomm's semi custom CPUs.. You've just showed a article against you. Can't you understand by reading. Ignorance again

                3. Who said faster? I said powerful. That doesn't mean faster.. It highly depends on software optimization on each comparative chipset.. although S8 (Exynos) was faster than S8 (Snapdragon) Learn to read

                4. I'm saying that before than you.
And Apple architecture powerful obviously but not by far and not more efficient than even some of other mid range chipsets. Want proof go check out some of gsm battery test results..

Narrower transistors, efficiency, a illiterate won't understand these words if hasn't any basic idea and education about these.

                5. It's not rename of CPUs but reconstruction of those.. I clearly said those are semi custom which are based on those cores.. It's impossible to get any basic studying for a guy like you but in this era of internet you could get some Infos at least..

Well count from May 2017 it isn't 3 years yet, let alone 4 years. You can't even do a simple math..
And sometime you're also proving yourself wrong XD

                6. I used the 'same' to understand you common uses of all chipset and the intention to make those. Learn to understand by reading.

                7. Why should a performance core does need to be efficiency on mandatory. Those are intend for make to excel the performance on the highest throttle if needed. For efficiency there are 6 or 7 more cores (today's standard chipsets) to handle..

                8. I've their report and I'm totally aware of that. Yet they have less profit on smartphone sales than last year but didn't loss. And I showed the recent report as they entered in top 20.

And where did you get R&D cost infos? Please let me know.. Microarchitectures R&D obviously one of most costly, but entirely and there other sectors as well. Such as facilities of work field and software sphere.. Which are way way more large sector than Microarchitecture with way more employees and facilities.. As a student of the Respective subject I wouldn't feel shame to claim that.

                9. Ok

                10. I'm a regular visitor of their site didn't saw anything on GPU performance.. Work your brain sometime rather than refering others.
If you had basic study on these you definitely would understand how GPU does work for display or multimedia or all video and graphical performances..

That's why I don't believe anyone blindly specially any of Apple favoured reviewer (Anandtech). Every time I do test or research and math by myself. Only then I confirmed. Go check actual benchmark sites rather than unknowingly believing on any paid or favoured site. I don't need to say further.. That's why education is so important for one.. Yes A12X bionic matches you words but that's for other use.

I would definitely stop if I was wrong.. But best of luck.. I'm ready to answer your next reply

                        Apple fans don't know sh*tt.
CVD is used to produce displays, not to design them.
What's to designs Display when the tech design is there by Samsung, LG, Sharp etc etc.
It's not like Apple wll do better design than Samsung without having any experience in Display department.
When it will happen, The display will be made by Apple too. Only designing doesn't work for display.

This fits for both the GSMarena and Reuters post.
According to your GSMARENA post, Apple display should have been made by themselves. As my knowledge no company in history did design display and made by others. Additionally Apple doesn't care which part is made by who as long as those parts perform well and provide Apple with more profit. They don't even make their smartphone themself, why would they bother to produce display !
And for the modem. This will happen in the futute.
Currently relationship between Sammy and Qualcomm isn't good.
So, Samsung might not get the contract at all.

Qualcomm was going for Samsung. Then when Samsung shut down mongoose core division and moving back to ARM design like Qualcomm and then partnered with AMD to design Samsung's own GPU . Everything has changed.
I don't know why, but Qualcomm moved to TSMC deliberately even though Samsung's 7nm EUV is better than TSMC's 7nm process.

Btw, there is also an underlying competition/rivalry between the Samsung Exynos and Snapdragon SoC based on their core designs. Now that the Mongoose Cores have been laid to rest, this should hopefully, be reduced too.
