skyfly, 16 Mar 2020When one reads about the underperforming battery, the rest is useless. Same for pixel 4 series.Tho that has a 1100 mah smaller battery strange this year the exynos model probably half of what the snapdragon can achieve
If they don't improve the camera and the battery with a firmware, this is going to be the most expensive failure of Samsung.
For 2020 I am disappointed. They just brought refresh rate which eats the battery alive and a bad camera.

Then cover up the artifacts using excessive oversharpening & noise reduction. Its the sacrifice u've got & loss.
Back in the days, dynamic range on camera phone are cr@p. But with a mature image processing + features listed above, can get great results. Mate 30 Pro are one of the example.

Except Mate 30 Pro and P30 Pro, all phones rated above 108 on dxomark have these issues.

Looks like s20 trio is failure. Reviews are not positive as compared to S10 trio

Samsung known for excessive sharpening & smudgy noise reduction. But when in good light, the S20 Ultra 108mp res mode dont have those oil-painting looks unlike when its pixel-binned to 12mp, in the same cropped area.
Been using the S20 (euro spec) for 5 days now. Nice size, good build, great screen, versatile camera set up and a much improved selfie camera. However, the battery isn't great as most have pointed out. I'm sure it could improve if I turn the refresh/quality down but for £800 why should I? Updates will likely improve this (I didn't love the S10 at launch but when I re-used one for a few weeks recently I found it much more pleasing to use), but then again the charging speed is quick so is it really an issue? I would recommend waiting a few months for improved software and a lower price and ideally buying the Snapdragon version. otherwise it's the best compact(ish) flagship out there along with the 11 Pro.
Its best to just buy a smartphone and not over analyse imo.

The samsung series are afflicted with a focusing problem or error which will be resolved in a firmware update.
We are fecked ever which way, why not stop this hysteria about the current technology. I know we pay alot of money for these devices, the problem will be solved.

If you check photos of many phones on a big 4K screen, Samsung will be the worse.
I don't know how people can use Vivid mode, that's beyond me. Everything bad about OLED displays is showcased in vivid mode from PWM to temperture shift and that Samsung exclusive holographic effect on the edges.

Go check SG and US prices, they're identical. And I won't even bother buying an iPhone 11 Pro. S20 is a fine phone actually, but maybe it can be cheaper. S20 Ultra is expensive rubbish confirmed.
Price is definitely wrong! I can get a brand new Huawei Mate 30 Pro with 2 years warranty for as little as US$620 right now in my country. Sure it loose to S20 in some things and I have to mess around with Google services but I won't be disappointed in the end for sure. Because the price for Mate 30 Pro is right for me!

Mate 30 Pro is the best example. Non existent oil-painting look with great balance between sharpness & noise reduction. I believe P40 series will be superior with more advancement in camera software department.

What's the point of comparing non-gaming vs. gaming phones?
Each phone appeals to a different audience, non-gamers would easily pick the iPhone and vice-versa.
Regarding throttling, Notebookcheck performed gaming test in their iPhone 11 and 11 Pro Max review and did not find any issues with it.
If you want to compare the iPhone, compare it with S20, Mate 30 Pro, OP 7T, Pixel 4, etc. even regular Android flagships can't touch gaming phones performance. Where's the common sense?
Maybe you just like to bash iPhones when you've never tried it. Your presence in other posts also concerns me because you've tried to spread false or irrelevant statements and news.
Anonymous, 16 Mar 2020S10e is a xr killer better specs in every way just the exynos variant let's it down Killer specs? Not really, I think. I will still pick up a realme X2 Pro or Redmi K20 Pro (if available in my country) over the S10e if it has to be an Android.

There you go, you have to turn down certain things in gfx settings, turn off Bluetooth so that network performance isn't affected, close apps in memory and
Still it will overheat after couple of hours.
ROG 2 has no such issues. Can use Bluetooth headphones since it has 4 WiFi antennas and performance is not compromised over wireless networks. Also chipset doesn't throttle after continuous gaming. And don't have to close background apps during gaming.
I love the s20 is 👍beautiful...
