The problem is, Google proprietary app like Keep and apps from companies like Forza which used more often don't work, they need Google services to work
Hi . Guys I'm looking to buy a p40 lite . I have a few questions. There is no google apps on and play store. Is there any way to get google on the p40 lite like ,gmail, Facebook, google maps. Etc .
One unfortunate thing about this phone is after updating the software, option to select Photo resolution will no longer be available to you except the option for aspect ratio. I complained to the Huawei customer care and this is what they have to say:
In EMUI 10.1, the Camera settings have been updated. The new aspect ratio options do not display the resolution value, but the two settings are essentially identical. The Artist mode interface has been streamlined to facilitate more natural interactions. As a result, only one aspect ratio is available, without the need for manual selection as was previously the case.
It is really unfortunate that you can't navigate between different Mega pixels for photo taking.
Great phone awesome specs. Camera looks great, but the interesting thing is the 40W charger. Usually 40W charger goes on flagship models so this is awesome.
Does the P40 lite have a light that alert you when you have notification beside you unlocking the phone
I bought Huawei Nova 7i or P40 lite week a go. Initially I found it difficult with no standard Google services and apps like LinkedIn. Now I got fixed most of my apps through phone clone and apkpure.
So far I am satisfied. Great look with green color and super specs..
Sebas, 28 May 2020Hey I'm looking to change my phone and so far I've liked these three: P40 lite, P30 and Nova 5... moreBattery: Definitely the P40 Lite. It's magnificent and will give you unlimited juice. The supercharging is excellent as well.
Selfie: Comparable on both P40 Lite and Nova 5T. Haven't tried it on the P30.
User interface: I believe all three will have the EMUI 10.1 (P40 Lite has it already).
CPU: both 5T and P30 have a better CPU (but not by much)
Screen: The screen of the P30 is better but you'll have to pay an extra ~120€.
Build: Both 5T and P30 have glass back (more premium). P40 Lite has a plastic back (more durable).
I'd go for the P40 Lite. It's newer and doesn't come with GMS bloatware.
If you are willing to pay the extra 100€ I'll definitely go for the P40 Lite 5G.
Melissa, 14 Jun 2020Hi there, I get that the phone (p40 lite) does not work with Google services but one app I use... moreSome banking apps are already available in the Huawei App Gallery. This you can check by downloading the App Gallery (on whatever Android phone you currently have) and checking if the App is available. Many other banking apps are available on apkpure (another app store). If the app is not available the workaround is to copy if from another phone. Huawei provides Phone Clone to accomplish this.
For me I have two banks. One is available in the App Gallery and the other I had to copy. Both work just fine.
A final option would be to use the mobile site (if your bank provides one).
Hi there, I get that the phone (p40 lite) does not work with Google services but one app I use every day is my banking app... Will I be able to get that on the phone? Please help!!
