Anonymous, 31 Mar 2020Are you telling me that that Kirin 990 throttles inspite of that additional cooling on board? I don't know because I haven't tried gaming on the P40 Pro yet but the mali GPU is very bad for gaming and the P30 Pro ended up on the last place in the gaming test.

Why are you posting a video of 2020 chipset against 2019 chipset?
Read the post I was replying to.
The guy claimed Kirin with its gpu was ahead of SD855 phones and games lagged on phones running Sd855.

With that said, it's simply ridiculous that they advertised it as 23mm equiv. lens when photos get cropped to 27mm most of the time and thought they could get away with it. When customers are paying $1000 surely they should expect a phone to have a pin-sharp lens to resolve good amount of details across the full sensor area.

They are not worth spending money on - they can't even compete with Apple and Samsung cameras.

Why is it that Huawei doesnt use OIS in Videos instead of EIS ? The Sensor crop from EIS may be ok in daylight but in lowlight u are loosing light sensitivity and through EIS lights are smearing weird in the video.

Just watch YT where they pit 5 flagships among each other and play the most graphic intensive games - the P30 Pro lost and got last place.. It couldn't even play for 5 minutes without getting overheated due to that sh*tty garbage kirin chip with the even more sh*tty mali GPU..
All Kirin chips are midrange garbage chips.. They are even inferior to Samsungs sh*tty exynos chips too.

Exactly. Then it's upscaled back to 12.5MP, that's why you see the regression in per pixel details from Mate 30 Pro.

P30 Pro had no s... moreIt doesn't make sense in many ways, for example the 12.5MP output should mean a 50MP readout for a 4-to-1 bin, but after the crop it's essentially a 3-to-1 bin(4-1 bin results in 9.4MP), and there's no way a half-interpolated bin like that would help with image quality.
