Nick.B, 19 Apr 2020LG created a 2020 winner! Gotta love them. So much tech packed for low price.I do not feel that there are advantages over v50 besides main cam and battery endurance.

YUKI93, 19 Apr 2020Sorry, the Samsung S20 camera is just exactly the same as the V60 despite the fake telephoto c... moreSamsung uses native 64MP. While LG has quadbayer one.
Zoom will be better for native sensor.

Problem is when you use digital zoom, the resolution drops a lot.
2x zoom means divided by 4, while 3x zoom means divided by 9.
At 78mm, s20 will provide a 7.1MP equivalente photo quality.
The 100x zoom of Ultra main cam is 0,01MP quality.

Cropping is only good on real cameras because the high quality image they provide. You can crop and it still will look great.

Samsung is a great phone to but I had the note 10 plus and I didn't see all the big deal about the camera. My friends lg 8 thin q. Took pictures about as good and some times better. I just got the lg v60. The phone is great. Takes amazing pictures. It's a monster phone.

Firewarrior96, 19 Apr 2020lol here comes the contradiction. samsung : Speedy charging solutions, incl. a 25W charger... moreSorry, the Samsung S20 camera is just exactly the same as the V60 despite the fake telephoto camera. It only relies on crop zoom technique, something that the Nokia 808 PureView and the Nokia Lumia 1020 had done for like a million years ago.

But as for the V60's lack of telephoto camera, I'm still not sure about it. While it uses the same crop zoom technique as the Samsung to get a 2x zoom photo, I'm not sure if it can do Triple Shot like the previous V50 and V40 and I love that feature a lot.

As fare I can see...the LG v60 is the most complete flagship for now in 2020...of course these is just my opinion. You may have different opinion and I accept it.

                  lol here comes the contradiction.
samsung : Speedy charging solutions, incl. a 25W charger in the box
Pros Versatile triple camera setup (even with a fake telephoto)
LG : No fast(er) charging (Quick Charge 4.0+ (25W) USB-C adapter included in the box)
                  Cons No dedicated telephoto camera

On the other hand wired goes up to 115~116 dB unbalanced and 122~123 dB balanced over LRX. Truth is & thing seriously to consider that you really don't want EMI or any other noise source anywhere close to the DAC and Amp you if you must have some than you want properly shielded design. Neither is possible with highly portable small BT devices.

Fearghast, 19 Apr 2020I was just reading it, but THX for shortening my reading sesion. I got other way around. Got a TempoTec Sonata iDSD (ESS ES9028KM2 +sabre9601k) that has a battery & separate power line. Ended up buying additional USB C cable (Shanling L2) as default one is really bad and applying additional EMI shielding (2~3 mm of graphite) over ICs. Not really worth the fuss but now it's on the deacent desktop DAC's lv.
A tip; make sure when you order the Sonata HD Pro that it is one which comes with newer, much better USB cables. Now you actually can select it with only cable that you need (not all of them) & save couple more buck's.

                              Best regards.

And Sammy must stay on top, get it? If tests would prove otherwise, change test parameters, test only wireless. No wired audio tests, everything is sammy "fair".

The Apple $9 USB dongle did better than that, problem is it doesn't last (2~3 months) and output power (mW) is somehow problematic on Android.
