Chinese brands have been caught using software that det... moreAfter years of criticisms like that phone companies learnt their lessons and implemented the performance mode as the, ahem, actual performance mode, rather than old-fashioned benchmark boost mode and made the toggle switch available to consumers. Besides, if the SoC vendors (e.g. Mediatek) decide to cheat in benchmarks, there's not much smartphone manufacturers that are using their chipsets can do about it.

Sometimes when I can't be bothered find my earphones or put them into my ears for a long period of time, I just use my phones' internal speakers instead and enjoy watching Youtube videos.
GSMArena used to have a 3.5mm audio test but they recently removed it from the review because it is now impossible to conduct such a test when most phones nowadays don't have a headphone jack and even a dongle is missing from some of them.

Unless you are viewing the screen from less than 6" away, 99% of the people will not notice any difference. If one have to constantly view at less than 6" away, then something must be wrong, either he/she need a glasses, or text setting is too small, or just get a tablet.
I do understand the significant of having QHD over FHD on a 10" tablet, but on a phone its kind of waste of battery most of the time.

I can not understand your new sound quality tests, do you test the sound quality when using headphone or are you only testing the irrelevant small speakers on the phone, who listen to music using these small phone speakers?

So,the unthinkable happened...finally a smartphone that`s actually even better than the king itself for the last few years,concerning cameras...(In most situations,anyway).
And on top of it,flaghip grade everything:build quality,display,fastest chipset,great battery life with superfast charging,best audio on a phone,excellent OS...
Kudos to Xiaomi,a phone of the year,so far...it`s pricey,sure,but considering the prices these days and the competition,a potential bargain,I reckon...very soon

It's ironic that Samsung, the company that started this ridiculous curved display trend, is now leading us out of that dark era in Android smartphone design. Now if only they would start widening their displays again.
