Anonymous, 26 May 2020OnePlus 8 or Mi10 which one is your overall suggestion.? Overall, the Mi 10 is better. But, if u r a gamer, only this series gets 90 hrtz refresh rate on Fortnite and the lovely Oxygen Os.It depends on what u like and which compremises u r ready to make.

Anonymous, 26 Apr 2020Exactly, OnePlus didn't even bother to put an upgraded IMX 686. Yes, the camera is barely worth 2.5 stars. The whole phone as a package 3.5 stars, this not considering the price. I mean come on, in Germany you can buy the S20+ on ebay for this price. OnePlus is really crazy with these prices this year. Reviewers were given test units in fancy packages, they all praise OnePlus and nobody mentions how expensive they are. Very few people buy them really. They are a good deal only in India, where the price is 30% cheaper than in Europe and Samsung is more expensive.

I didn't counter because it was the truth.
As for my comment, its more of an opinion based one. Even DSLR's give better quality than phone cameras could, but I can't lug one around... (I have one). And believe me when I say, phones have come a lot closer to being portable music player replacements, than DSLR replacements.
But what is a portability enthusiast? I never heard this before.

What if the audio enthusiast is also a camera enthusiast, he can't carry a DSLR & a world of lenses with him. There's no such thing as portability enthusiast, where did you hear of it?
We're all busy professionals, except for those for whom music is the business they're into.
And when you're out in unpredictable circumstances, in a metro train, or busy subway, you're likely to appreciate the built in DAC for whatever it is, unless of course you can juggle around with stuff or keep the adaptor attached all the time to either the phone or head/earphone.
Convenience is a factor, just like SINAD.

Audio quality has nothing to do with how portable your device(s) are. On another note, DACs like the E1DA 9038S are exceptionally portable and have amazing SINAD, more than what ANY phone would get alone with their internal hardware. The only good audio android devices to date are LG ones, and the iqoo 3 which has a decent AK chipset, not the greatest but it's a step up.

You do have a better system in your home, right? Its all about good quality on the road use...
While I agree jack is not everything, the true audio fans do not have an enemity with 3.5mm jack. They 'prefer' having it over nothing at all.
Secondly, nice of you to mention LG phones which have 3.5mm jack anyways. Thanks for proving my point.

They don't sell it anymore on their web... moreOnePlus has always stopped selling there phones once the new ones come out, it's not shady it's just they don't see any reason why they should put resources into keeping last year's phone on sale

I ordered 2 of them from T- mobile @ $350 each. I don't think I can get a better phone for the price. I own a 7T and no complains so far.
