The reason they gave (DAC doesn't matter, all phones almost equal now, headphones matter more) was illogical, by all means, which I've pointed out to them. So, the real reason is something else.
Maybe its too hectic for them to do, or maybe it was giving inaccurate results (although I always found it accurate in subjective testing I did). or Maybe their international expansion centers are giving different, incomparable results. We don't know.
Since Oneplus 8 doesn't have a jack, ignore it. I encourage them to do this test for those phones which have 3.5mm jack.
I will post a request when a phone with jack is reviewed. Let's see... I hope it makes a return.

So you pay a more premium price, but get main camera setup thats 2 generations old ?? Thats really not great value.

Samsung is rubbish always some issues.Are you living in lala land, ofcourse it's Samsung who made it, OnePlus don't make displays, there are few companies that manufacter good oled displays for mobile devices, I think even Huawei don't manufacter their own oled displays.

That means that LG didn't do the greatest of jobs taming that Snapdragon X55 (and this has happened with A LOT of phones this year with that modem). That's why a part of me is waiting for Snapdragon X60 phones because those are apparently MUCH better with battery. Here's hoping HTC gets it for their upcoming flagship.

There is no point to buy this phone at asked price. Should you just drop your phone and have a screen broken - replace will cost you have of a new phone price not to mention that you need to find a service shop to repair OnePlus. In my opinion - going for curved screen was a big mistake. Raised cost of device, cost of service, less practical overall, not to mention looks like all other curved screen phones.

if you want the same design a d 90Hz display and ok with lcd and midrange performance and no wireless charger go with realme 6 or 6 pro.
similar in many aspects for almost third or quarter the price.
