Not total protection but definite protection during the occasional rain.

Fully functional gcam working on all cams available for 108mp sensor on Mi Note 10. But it sports the mid range 7xx series chipset.
The MI 10/Mi 10 Pro has only been recently available out there. Covd19 has slowed down the shipping and buying. Once more developers get the phone, it will be optimized for SD865.
Not having IP 67/68 for a flagship is embarrassing. If Apple, a company known for high margins, can get IP67 on a $399 SE, why can't Xiaomi get IP rating on its flagship phone?

Someone must say that the camera is much better than the pro. Especially the ultrawide at night is miles ahead.
Anonymous, 05 May 2020Gcam will take care of all those inconsistencies. AFAIK there's no gcam properly tuned for this particular 108MP isocell sensor yet. I saw some comparisons between Gcam and stock camera on Mi 10 & Mi Note 10, colours look off and very desaturated.
Anonymous, 04 May 2020Gorilla 5 , less than 400ppi, no IP rating, no sd slot, no "zoom" cam present on mi9, usb2.X, ... moreNo need for useless 2x-3x optical zoom.
Since majority of 2x-3x telephoto lens on the market are behind small sensors giving average quality in daylight. At night, most manufacturers use the main sensor to give zoom.
108mp camera with 0.8 micron pixel size from 1/1.33" sensor is enough to deliver 12mp images with zoom equivalent to 3x optical.
The main camera on this phone is really weird. The overall lens quality is so much better than more expensive Mi 10 Pro, but the processing is more similar to Mi Note 10 and somewhat less mature than Pro version (if more natural). Its supurb texture rendition and lack of proper auto HDR make it closer to a dedicated compact camera rather than a smartphone camera, which I'm not sure is a good thing or not when it's, um, a smartphone camera. I prefer Mi 10 Pro's combination of slightly more processed looking details & great dynamic range over this. Still great, though, to be fair.
Pixel density 386 is not good for a premium..and on a amoled screen. At the same resolution a lcd screen is more finished. In my mind, 400 ppi is a minimum on a amoled to have a clean and clear image quality
Better to take Mi note 10 for half the price :), better cameras, bigger battery, xiaomi mistake was to sell mi note 10 :) cameras like mi 10 pro

Launching soon in India. Pricing will be the key. S20 series is way too expensive here. Op8 will be the major competitor.
