I bought this phone and honestly for normal users the battery life is better than most android phones that have an average of 3000mah batteries. iPhone SE battery may be small on paper but it out performs higher capacity batteries. Was a worthy buy instead of constantly buying android phones with slow updates, disappointingly made and designed apps. Don't care about customizations anymore and never used widegts etc. Part of the iPhone group for the first time and loving what iPhones offer.. especially no ads in stock apps and they don't track everything you do.

wtf with the battery endurance.
i though this phone can become my list but unfortunately not. apple still love to do milking their consumer
for premium phone i will pick xperia 1 ii for sure its gorgeous
for premium affordable phone i will pick rog2 or zen6 for sure its the most worth in its price point

T... moreThe battery of your s10e should hold way longer than a day i own a s10+ i know it has a bigger battery but i can do an easy 3days with a full charge you have could have some setting that need lots of battery or mayby lots of open tabbs

My suspicion is that it was deliberate on Apple's part to have large bezels and a small battery. A $450 iPhone SE without these things would have cannibalised iPhone 11/12 sales whereas this model will not.

I would choose it any time of day ins... moreIt depends. Exynos runs hot and battery life is pretty bad. I have a s10e with exynos in it. The battery is really bad. A half an hour video call eats 35-40% of battery. I can't get the whole day with a single charge. Fortunately I am at home because of coronavirus so I don't have a battery dead phone otherwise it would be painful for me. Everything else is good though.. Its fluid, display is awesome, one UI is great, fingerprint sensor is fast, the phone is comfortable to hold, i guess the camera should be better than SE.
S10 lite should be a better deal even if someone pays 50/70 euros more.

Still, you can get S10e for close to $400 now, that's very similar in size, but with much bigger and better screen and 3100 mAh battery.

I would have bought and switched to Apple if the battery endurance would have been in the 70 hours range like the original SE was. Even then that doesn't compare well to Android midrangers, but this phone was never going to have good battery life sadly.
To be fair, battery life is the only compromise is a very strong package, still not enough to tempt me from upper midrange Androids.

In terms of design this is the VW beetle or golf of smartphones, it is not for tech enthusiasts, but it will look great for years to come to average user.
For Battery test , I am not sure about this site, from how they rated phones I used from Samsung and apple before-galaxy 8, 8 plus, iPhone 7 plus. To me it seemed Apple phones use almost no battery when idle, whereas Android/Samsung leak little bit, it makes a big difference in daily light use. I will wait for phonearena, and notebookcheck tests.
For all those non-Apple users/people not interested in the phone :just enjoy the fact that this phone -and hopefully the 12 series will push Samsung and Chinese brand prices lower next year; instead of complaining about a product you will never buy,,

Anonymous, 02 May 2020So the 3 year old camera setup and and display get a 4 star rating ?!?!?I'd be more condemning of the huge chin and forehead, the physical button and the small battery with just a 5W charger out of the box.
Rest of the phone is still great for the asking price.
You get the fastest phone, great display and 4 years of software support for $399.
Oneplus used to be that phone, but now ask $799 for their base Oneplus 8 model.

I'm sad and feel sorry for Apple. If I were Tim Cook, I would never have allowed such a very dated, low end, ugly looking phone with low quality screen and ugly exterior design bear the iPhone branding and logo.
It kills the prestigious, luxurious iPhone brand image that Steve Jobs have worked very hard for. The iPhone SE 2020 looks like a counterfeit iPhone wannabe.
It's as if Apple is so desperate to attract Android users that it had to make heavy compromises in the cheap iPhone SE 2020 design and construction. This is NOT a premium phone Apple's iPhones are known for.
Spend a lot more for an iPhone if you don't want to be discriminated by the richer iPhone owners who will most likely call you a pretentious, trying hard social climber who wants to blend in with them.
That, or just buy a better, more premium android phone. There's plenty of excellent choices for that $399 asking price of the iPhone SE.
Buying the iPhone SE 2020 is like buying a Sony 32" 720p LCD tv instead of an alternative 50" 4K UHD tv from other less known tv brands that cost the same. (Buying it just because you must have 'Sony' brand name rather than 'Devant', 'Skyworth', 'TCL' or 'HiSense' in your tv.)
