harianilchandran, 11 May 2020Recycling of gorilla glass in not done. Read this https://www.earthsquad.global/recycling-of-... moreMy statement stands at a molecular level. It's companies fault for not recycling. Manufacturing of plastic is cheap and inexpensive and in smartphone sales especially in midrange, its a good way to keep the profit by manufacturing plastic back.

Nevertheless, plastics are and will be harmful for the environment. We should minimize its use as much as we can, in our daily life too!

Unfortunately, no reason to buy it instead G7 Power, for half price than G8 Power now. I use G7 Power and is still the best for battery life.

Anonymous, 09 May 2020It's not gonna be 150 euro, more like 200-230 euro which is terrain of Redmi Note 8 Pro, Realm... moreNOw is in Germany 180€, so, soon it will be. And about Redmi Note 8 Pro, and RealMe 6.. I was couple of year Xiaomi user (like 10-12 difference Xiaomi phones, from Redmi, to Note, and last Mi lineup), yes they have good spec, MIUI is rrally good software with plenty options build in, also there was no ads, like for users in India (region, and couple others..). But, it's time to move.. Before Xiaomi, i was using in all that years... Siemens.. Nokia, Ericsson, Sagem, Philips (even one model of Bosch-phone, imagine).. So, now we need another, new brand who have good spec, and good build, pease no more glass back if you don't know how to made it frosted, at least alu is still better than glass, it looks better, it feels better and it is better (and colder), also there is no smudges, and fingreprints on the alu.. Redmi Note 8 Pro have MediaTek, so no thanks, also it is to heavy, tickness, 8.8mm, no, dimensions, now is summer we need compact phones, not a bricks.. And RealMe, their software is mix of MIUI-EMUI, and for app draweer Poco(phone), also back camera in RealMe phones is worse (at least for now), than the rest of known, and more known A brands in a smartphone world, even in a same price range. This Motorola G8 Power seems ok, for someone who are tired of those Chinese OEMs, and who thinks that Lenovo does not have anything with Motorola desisions. :D

This phone's NA variant, the Moto G Power, does have a perk making it worth it over the competition: Wider network compatibility, and better global band coverage.

Why the GSMArena team remove only SOME offensive, trolling, discriminating, political and so on (violating your site rules) posts after they have been reported and other ones you just don't remove? Is that kind of segregation or what? Tell me - are there users that are "beyond" the posting rules? I also have got a plenty of examples if you are interested.

I’ve been really looking forward to see the review of this phone and find it a bit unfair. I will be getting this phone eventually and I do have experience with the G7 Power also, which was a great value phone for £130 at the end of its life cycle. I’d expect the G8 Power to drop in price also in the couple next months also, making it a more compelling choice.

However, I do not understand how this phone can be worse compared to the Realme 6 at the end of the review. It has a better screen (740 nits vs 450) with better contrast, better speakers and the camera quality is pretty much the same or even a tiny bit better compared to the Realme 6 (if you check the picture with the giant snail statue you can look how blurry the grass looks on the picture taken with the Realme compared to the G8 Power). The only upper hand the Realme has is the better SOC in my opinion.
