I wish I know why gsmarena so obsessed with Motorola phones when they are not that popular.

Anonymous, 19 May 2020If the Poco F2 Pro had full US bands I can guarantee you lots of people in the US would be buy... moreTHANK YOU. That's what I've been saying about a lot of phones from the Black Shark 3 Pro, Poco F1/F2 Pro, Vivo IQOO Neo3/Z3 (although ironically they both have the full networks for Sprint which is a first...), and even Realme 6/6 Pro. They just need the minimum US bands of 2, 4, 12, 13 (sorta...), and 17 and the US would buy some of these super cheap phones (although Black Shark 3 Pro isn't TOALLY cheap but the hardware is well worth it).
Flo, 19 May 2020Motorola = poor display quality...Speak to yourself.
YUKI93, 19 May 2020If Motorola utilizing OmniVision camera sensor for the ultrawide and telephoto camera, why can... moreLOL.
No one makes better and most advanced sensors than Sony.
All cameras brands buy sensors from Sony (except the Canon APSC and Full Frame models).
Samsung and Omnivision copy Sony's tech but still do not deliver the same.
Without Sony, there would not exist tech like stacked dram sensor, quadbayer and 2x2 on-chip lens.

If Motorola utilizing OmniVision camera sensor for the ultrawide and telephoto camera, why can't they do the same with the main sensor? The OV48C is by far the best camera sensor to come out in 2020, and yet I'm not seeing any smartphone brands using that sensor.
Despite claims about Motorola phones no signal problem I decided to go ahead and buy two it was working fine for a few weeks until the signal was lost. It couldn't be repaired or sold and my money was wasted

"Pro: The fastest midrange chipset"
You have posted the news yourself, that MTK Dimensity 820 has beaten sd765g by 100k in antutu.
Then, there is also Kirin 820 5G, that is almost as much ahead of sd765g.
Nice phone, but the OnePlus 8 looks like a bargain in comparison once you factor in software updates.
HappyBerry, 19 May 2020I missed reading about how its software deals with accidental edge touches, even though I read... moreI usually have issues with such "edge" phones, but did not have any with the Moto Edge. While some of the picture gets "eaten" by the edges, quite obvious in the camera viewfinder, I was nicely surprised by the touch experience.
Poco F2 Pro, flagship processor for $500, this has a midrange processor for $600, does the motorola brand still has enough hype going for it to price like this?
I missed reading about how its software deals with accidental edge touches, even though I read through the article. Was it mentioned?
Youtubers claims are conflicting, some said they're dealt with, others they're still an issue. Would be ideal if GSMArena reports on their experience.
[deleted post]The speakers sound quality is good so I am fine with GSMArena listing it as pros. But in terms of loudness it's significantly lower than Moto G8 Power which costs less than half of Moto Edge so yes that should have been mentioned in the cons.
Otherwise anyone who only looks at the final verdict will get the impression of Moto Edge having a excellent speakers. Which is only half true.
It appears to be a solid phone. I would pick Moto any day against the likes of oppo, MI and Vivo
I would like to add that Poco F2 Pro is also a worthy contender; depends on the compromises you can live with.
Bring back the testing of the 3.5mm headphone jack volume. You don't need to test the freq response since they are all almost excellent, but no way of knowing what the volume is without you testing it. Do a survey and ask if you want to 3.5mm testing brought back for just volume level.
[deleted post]Maybe because they were not as loud as motorola claimed they were? remember "Loudest speakers on phone" That does not mean that they were bad, just that they were not excellent
