Reviewers are supposed to tell manufacturers what they did good and what - bad. They don't have to own manufacturers to do so.

Quite a lot of chromatic abberration (is that even the correct term?) in the daylight photo samples. Reminds me of the behaviour of older Canon DSLRs.

FYI I only see 3 people supports your idea here and it does not mean that all of use favors it. If thats not your taste then be it do not force your idea to us since in the first place we did not ask that and each of us has its own taste towards a phone.

Only one smartphone (iPhone 11 Pro Max) is not a "choice". If there was a smartphone that differs from OP8P only with flat screen and no punch-hole (or just has very similar specs and a flat screen with no punch-hole) - there would be a choice, but such smartphone do not exist, so there is no "choice". Meizu 17 - lol, not even close.
Yes, GSMArena should be unbiased from manufacturers and when they are not right - tell them so, bash them, give them low scores, etc. They have opportunity to do so, they have reason (as I previously explained) to do so, but they are not doing it, and it is bad. They don't even answer why are they not scolding manufacturers for stupid products.
Yes, manufacturers like curved displays - it is perfect flashy stuff for advertising and marketing. But it is still an unpractical trash, which goes wrong with the "smartphone" term itself. And, manufacturers are not who has a right to vote in this discussion. They serve us, not vice versa.

Clearly the manufacturers of the devices really like it, clearly the designers of those phones like it, clearly some consumers like it. If you hate it, that's totally fine, except when somebody else gives their opinion, it's not nessecarily wrong or right. Also you have the choice to not buy curved screen smartphones: meizu 17, iPhones, etc.
GSMArena should strive to be as unbiased as possible. They 100% know that curved screens are hard to use, but different users will have different experiences. They also know that some users like the look of curved screens. You can't tell GSMA to say all those people are dumbos and your opinion is "objectively" right.

I;m sure there are people eager to get their hands on this beauty, there's much to love, but price and charging speed could improve. It;s not like this phone can't charge faster, you just need a faster charger.

I don't find much reason to get this phone Mi 10 Pro, but it does seem that it ticks all the necessary boxes for most people looking for a great Android flagship. Decent enough display, long battery life, adequate speakers and good cameras backed up by the latest highend SD SoC.. not a lot to complain about, actually. Well done Motorola.
The main camera is a true gem though. Those 27MP photos coming out of it look stunning, and despite having significantly smaller pixels it goes toe to toe with S20 Ultra and P40 Pro in low light and in many cases it even produces more detailed images than both of them. It really makes me think that 12MP is NOT an optimal resolution for smartphone camera - around 16-20MP is more favorable for many reasons. But I really hope they will stop upscaling images in the UWA and the telephoto lens. That's plain stupid.

So, it ended up getting that price cut i talked about, much earlier than expected too. At $800, it's a really good deal. Well worth it's price IMO. If you don't like the heavily post-processed look out of other phone cameras, then this phone will impress you with it's natural processing. Also, don't worry about the low-light performance, as GCAM would fix it with it's night sight feature. Just gotta wait a bit for a port.
