Of course the phone is A LOT faster without Google services ... try removing Google services on an older phone and see how crazy fast it is! Google is using our phones for data gathering in all aspects of our life.... this requires battery and power. You can try right now and see how fast your phone is by just deactivating the Google Play Store first and second downgrade Google Services Framework to the factory version....

Huawei, give us a successor to the 20X but with a better audio chipsets. The 20X speakers are decent but internals are a bit lacking (both quality and volume wise). People don't spend a grand on a phone for a mono speaker. Get real.

I use Here Maps over Google Maps in my OnePlus 7 Pro. Google tends to take me elsewhere or choose the longer walk always. That's why I don't use it. But I know I'm not in the majority here.

I agree with the reviewers low price for inconvenience argument but you are also missing a critical point.
We all know how phones are launched at a 20-30% premium price in EU as compared to China price.
Look at the 8gb/256gb China price, it's $920. So Huawei did consider lowering their profit margin by launching at 10% premium and asking 999.
Huawei is a premium company in China at par with Apple. They cannot reduce the quality to drive down the price.
This is an expensive phone to begin with and as a consumer we are getting every penny justified.

We haven't been in the scenes where the writer of the article took photos so we shouldn't make any assumption on if those images have an accurate WB or not. That's plain stupid.
Honestly though, get out of my sight if you came here just so that you can spew out whatever s*** you want to say about me. Asking a valid question is not the same as making an excuse. You're starting to act like an incompetent elementary school teacher who screams "dOn'T ArGuE WIth mE" at students when they try to explain something, have some goddamn maturity already.

So they decided to limit ... moreP40pro and Mate30pro are NOT qHD :) They are HD+ only like 2016!
And yes I agree even if they were qHD there is no 120hz/qHD
Currently p40pro is HD+/90hz, my find x2pro has bigger size screen, not 16M but 1B colors, and 3k QHD+ / 120hz :) It is like from other universe :) It is next step from qHD where mate20pro and p40pro are one step BEFORE qHD :) Last mainstream top dog from Huawei with qHD was mate20pro (my phone until last month just switching to findx2pro). Ever since p30pro (including) they went HD+ and lower. That's why I wait for new kirin 1020 with at least qHD/90hz why not higher, but at least! Also nice big screen and camera, and stereo speakers (real ones like on my findx2pro) and I might think twice and sell my findx2pro for mate40pro. I love huawei more, but afterall they blown away the spec sheet more than 1 calendar year now (ever since march 2019 p30pro let down with mono speaker and HD+ screen only). Only mate xs is impressive to me but can't afford 2500 EUR for a phone. 1100 eur is my max so I got best in business (in my mind) findx2pro. Better than p40pro, s20ultra. The ultra beats it in 1-2 areas where findx2pro beats out s20ultra in 2-3 areas :)

In my opinion main camera need work to take great pictures. I have mate 30 pro and photos from main camera are much better. AI works here very bad. I belive huawei can do it with next firmware updates, they improved P30 PRO a lot from first version, mate photos now are perfect, in first firmwares they were only good. In this moment the best photos are from ultra wide camera - really impressive, much better than Mate. Zoom and night photos great too - especially without night mode. I can't wait for P40 PRO PLUS premiere - 10x zoom can be real game changer.
