For a phone brand that people rarely used anymore, Xperia models this year sure receive a lot of attention this year. I did not expect a lot of people posting in the comment section this much.

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2020Thats a nonsense, Shame on you. Expecting less because rip off merchants want more. Thanks fo... morei don't understand what you're trying to say.

mobile SOC can't swallow more than 10 bit 4k in 60 fps, there is just no computational power to do more. You can want more, it's ok. But smartphone as it is initially is designed for another purposes.

Android Master, 01 Jun 2020That 500 nits is under direct light with Adaptive brightness enabled. With the slider all the... moreAll phones work between 320-400 that's the sweet spot. But I'm sure with your love for the numbers that you would crank it up to max and burn your eyes just so you could be happy that your phone burns in high nits as you scroll with your high framrate screen. Make sure every marketing term is checked! Despite the fact that K20 screen is actually garbage like any other OLED under $700.

[deleted post]Why would they watch other reviews?
They like the deliberate nitpicks in this one. Just enough to fuel their daily dose of Sony bashing OCD.

Anyways I think the guy below somewhere is right. Yt, Netflix, etc. had stream quality bandwidths lowered due to pandemic, even on my TVs Netflix res is lowered still...

thats what arena read out for rev, but didnt put a plausible explanation for it...

enough raw meat for hater boys to go all mad and bad out....
One little "error" to make their day...

Go through reddit threads and on internet. Though OLED technology has been imporved over the years, still high brightness tend to have early burn ins than low brightness. Don't speak for everyone. Just because you don't have the issue, you can't ASSUME there are nop burn ins.

Apart from burn ins, at higher brightness, OLED tend to lose its colour accuracy. Meaning, what you see at high nits is fake colours. You can go through internet for multiple aritcles. One such example, look at 4:25 in following video. Apart from different display technology, with high brightness, colours are washed out. That's your cheap Chinese mobile for you. Samsung at least has decent fake colours compared to these chinese brands.

PS: Even high refresh rates causes inaccurate colors

just look at numbers of oppo, op and samsung.

phones losing 3h of browsing and 5h standby at least.

Look the level of excuses by haters.

                            - they think burn-in free oled exits
                            - they do not know higher ppi makes harder to apply more brightness and demands more from hardware
                            - they do not know (or just pretend hey dont) the higher brightness generates more heat and makes chemical reactions that degrade oled components faster ( they do not know oled tvs have lower brightness than LED).

I remember when vivo stopped using QHD and all chinese phones were 1080p, the users were always saying it was more than enough a screen with 400ppi.

                                        Simply subpar for 2020 standards.
Even mid rangers like K20 are pushing more than that.
