Blackk Mamba , 08 Jul 2020There you go, https://www.gizmochina.com/2020/05/13/oppos-40w-fast-wired-charging-degrades... moreIf you only knew that lithium ages faster than degrades, you'd not be so easily fooled by the 800 cycles of recharging. How fast do you think did this test happened? Two years? I doubt it took them longer than 4-7 months. Start 4k recording in HEVC@100mbps on these new phones and they'll die in less than 4-6 hours, then 1 hour for charging, and here you go with full 4-6 cycles a day, 120 to 200 days.

My only point is they are great for the price they offer but they can never be what Sony/Apple/Samsung can be in their flagships.

I'm not in denial, you're. Sony Mobile division lost their market but Not Sony itself. I don't understand your hate.

I have never seen Sony/Apple adopted something from Chinese (Samsung might have been). If I miss something, please feel free to give example. But I can mention more than 20 techs by Sony/Apple/Samsung adopted by Chinese brands.

You are actually proving my point that you would only accept it when they put a Sony logo on it.
Exact same arguments then, and same arguments from you now.
So predictable.
This is why Sony has 0.1% current marketshare.

Keep being in denial.
You are so triggered that Chinese brands have innovated what the massive R&D of Samsung, Sony and Apple couldn't.

These companies going to adopt same Chinese tech, rebrand it and sell it.

Dometalican, 11 Jul 2020Wow...that endurance was disappointing... Goes to show that they needed at MINIMUM a 4,500 mAH... moreWith bigger battery, the size of smartphone will be increased as well. If you read interviews by Sony developers/designers, they specifically mentioned that they wanted to produce more powerful device smaller than Xperia 1. And they succeeded. I'm happy at least they didn't stop this time below 3500mAh. Also I've been using this device since 3 weeks, SOT is always 6-7 hours even with 3-4 hours of continuous gaming of Marvel Contest of champions (In case of PubG or COD, it should be 1-2 hours). That's actually not bad. S20 Ultra 5000mAh batteries barely reaches 8-9 hour SOT. S20+ with 120Hz will be even lower SOT than X1 II.

You kept denyi... moreI'm not going to argue again with you and spam the same texts again and again. If you are interested, you can read those comments, if not then please stop replying my comments. It is annoying.

Also if Sony or Apple brings 65W in 2030, then probably we have good tech which doesn't degrade batteries in long run unlike Chinese tech. Apple, Sony (even Samsung) who spend billions in R&D are not stupid to unable to invent something like that earlier. We are not talking about just Sony here when we are talking about fast charging.

Pro Tip: One would be a fool if he/she believes in LAB tests rather than real life performance. Once in a while google online forums, reddit threads, XDA websites where users really post their real life experience. Thank me later!

You got owned in the comment section with facts.
You kept denying it then and you are denying it now.
Did you even read the article where independent lab testing proved the Anandtech guy wrong.

Go ahead, deny real world results.
Sony will give you 65W fast charging in 2030.
Only then you'll accept fast charging tech.

Wow...that endurance was disappointing... Goes to show that they needed at MINIMUM a 4,500 mAH battery but preferably a 5,000 to get a modest endurance.

It's a shame because EVERYTHING else about the phone is great. I prefer these pictures over incredibly saturated ones, it has great audio, keeps the jack, expendable memory, wireless charging, and bezel for grip...oh well. Waiting for Asus, IQOO 3 Pro, and hopeful Mate 40X

Mic , 07 Jul 2020Wonder if the endurance rating was with or without motion blur reduction active? Who knows. I have mbr on all the time and finding it a challenge to accept I don't need to put it on charge nearly as often as I got used to with 1+ 5T. Funny that 5T has pretty much the same overall endurance rating on gsmarena (83h vs 82h) while real (heavy) use is so different.

Disappointing to hear the the audio reviews discontinued--especially since this once again has a headphone jack. I think the section to be discontinued should be the processing power since they're all 865 they're all going to be pretty much the same. Does it have a power & quality audio through the jack of an LG phone? We'll never know from this site...

I was disappointed to see in this review that close up were dismissed, so which phone would be recommended for close up stills and videos of bees and other small insects?
I’m not worried about any other type of photography and as far as phone functi9ns a phone is a phone.

in March? in this market? nobody is selling phones in March-April.
Sony actually lucked out not rushing to put out the Xperia in a market drought of buyers.

vickymaster123, 29 Jun 2020will their ever be a battery reviewWould be cool to see numbers but got mine the other day. Seems to last way past my old 5T (comparing to when 5T was new, even more so now when the 5Ts battery is old), especially obvious under heavy usage like gaming with vibrations all the time. I have always on display turned on, and adaptive brightness.
