Most "5G" phones don't work at all in North America. Of those that do, the mmWave phones only work in a few urban spots. I'll pass until there are more bands supported.

By the time you need 5G, you would probably have upgraded to a new phone anyway.

Unless you live in China or have a specific need for a faster connection now, waiting will get you: more affordable 5G handsets, more power efficient 5G handsets, more advanced 5G handsets (better band support, more CA combinations, incremental improvements, etc.), and hopefully more pocket-friendly 5G handsets. Remember how clunky the first generation of 4G handsets looked in a short time?

Here in Canada at this time only Rogers is debuting 5G; the rest will do so probably next year.

The highest speeds with 5G have so short range, and is blocked by rain, that you have to stand right next to the antenna and that would make a fiber cable a far better alternative!
I use 3G on my Moto X4 because the 4G antenna in the phone is not good and forcing the phone to use more power to make the signal stronger, and I can definitely physically feel the increased 4G signal strength from the phone but I can not feel the weaker but better 3G signal! I did not believe that 4G... could be "dangerous", but now I am no longer so sure, because I have done blind test where my friend changed network, 3G or 4G, on my phone and I can ALWAYS feel the change, especially if the 4G reception is bad and the phone needs to increase signal strength! If 4G can be felt more than 3G, then 5G could be felt even more! If it is actually "dangerous" or not I do not know, but it feels very uncomfortable in the hand holding the phone!
I see no point at all of having 5G in a phone that is held in the hand next to the head!

the reality is, wide spread noticeable speed increase, along with better built in security protocols wont happen until 6G arrives. Samsung already started R&D work on 6G over a year ago.

The amount of data provided in plans should increase along with the speed. Streaming movies will exhaust the data in no time.

The point is that this isn't an Indian website but it does have a huge fanbase in India. They trust it to the point that some assume GSMArena is an Indian website. Sad that even if they're the "2nd" most populous region in the world, their mobile internet is a few years behind despite being one of the great countries to make some profit.
