Anonymous, 13 Jun 2020atleast p40 pro/pro plus comes with proper 3d face unlock.Infact it is the gimmick 3d face unlock that doesn't work properly and can be easily fooled in a variety of scenarios.
Besides, so many ppl complaining about it not working properly with a mask during covd19.

Under the display fingerprint scanner and 120hz, both work flawlessly on Android.
IOS brand boys literally have to resort to lies to feel good about their inferior OS.
Haha, Whatever makes you sleep at night!

kerul, 11 Jun 2020It's not addiction, it's truth you have to swallow it. And tell me which company is not spying... moreFor me it's easy. Even if Chinese company spying on me, it doesn't affect my life, as possibility that they can actually USE this data is minimal. US is another story. But then again. NO evidence so far that Huawei is spying. ABUNDANCE EVIDENCE that most of US companies do.
Anonymous, 12 Jun 2020Still very much alive though and selling plenty of phones.Of course huawei is alive, their biggest income is not the puny cellphone division, almost everybody thinks that huawei is just cellular handsets, which definitevely is not, the real important stuff for huawei is exactly the other part, infrastructure
Best camera on mobitel phones for sure!
kerul, 11 Jun 2020I'm not saying don't do innovation, but do you think it's worth to pay 1500$ plus for what I a... morePaying or not depends on your priorities. I'm not a brand follower and I won't defend Huawei's pricing policy coz their phones are definitely not cheap. But I can easily say that this phone (the P40 Pro+) is one of the most innovative ones both hardware and software wise. Whether you agree or not the approach followed by Huawei is bold and definitely needed for the consumers. And I don't mean Huawei's consumers only. It's guys like you who claim that life without GMS is difficult need such and initiative from other companies. It's simply healthy for the consumer and for the competition.
I respect your opinion about your experience with a Huawei phone and the Huawei App Store. I honestly had a completely different one. The App Store is growing very quickly and with a plethora of options (especially here in Europe). I had my share of gadgets and I could easily say that the new generation of Huawei phones are way ahead of competition.
This being said, nothing's perfect, but I (and many whom I know) are willing to try something new.
If Google has become an anchor to innovation I'm willing to cut it loose with a smile. I've already done this with Apple.
I prefer the Mi 10 pro, this one it's too expensive and don't have a huge difference.
us ends huawei, 12 Jun 2020no google service, no youtube, this company is dead. Still very much alive though and selling plenty of phones.
no google service, no youtube, this company is dead.
what the points if they have good camera but can't use google service...its just another ordinary phone...but too expensive
selfie cameras have occupied almost one-third of top of the front screen! what an awkward design!
whats the point giving curved edge to edge screen when thr is chunky camera block infront. Ruins the whole look
mandalaphone, 11 Jun 2020Based on your logic companies should stop innovating. They should settle with what's available... moreI'm not saying don't do innovation, but do you think it's worth to pay 1500$ plus for what I am not comfortable? And for what innovation? Do they give you a new OS other than Android? If not tell me why should I pay this much? And my main concern is that without GMS it's not mainstream product any more so how GSMarena can give this much of praise. Big puch hole, no stero speaker and no GMS and too much cost, even though they rated it very high score which is my main concern.
And for your reference I'm currently using Huawei phone and I've tried Huawei store and believe me I was very much disappointed with their approach. So many ads and mostly only Chinese Apps, it's very hard to find mainstream app. So no to a phone without GMS until someone comes with some solid ground work.
SpiritWolf, 11 Jun 2020Guys like you are actually funny. If _you_ can't live without GMS (pretty scary though, sounds... moreIt's not addiction, it's truth you have to swallow it. And tell me which company is not spying? And give me a single example of social media app which is not spying. And how do you define spying in digital world?
And do you believe that Huawei, Xiaomi and any B&K not spying? Even Apple is collecting your data and location. So just keep mum if you dont understand how data collection, AI and ML works.
And apart from this give me an alternetive of Google Maps, Facebook, Twitter, GMail etc which are capable of doing same. Do you have any Idea of how many users in the whole world are using these apps?
Think in a broadway not with narrow mind, it's like you have to live with Corona. Just accept their power in digital world all Apple, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Amazon etc. If someone come with Good alternetive they will eat them, no mercy.
If you understand this I will be happy or best of luck.
coyz, 11 Jun 2020that ugly notch destroys the whole specs of the phone!Totally agree. That broken screen was sent back for warranty service last decade and now is a sold as a feature!
for the price of $1,700 and no GMS , no warranty ( U.S and other country that doesnt have huawei authorize store )i dont think it will be appealing to Western market ( mostly in U.S ) Im tempting to try huawei ( starts from P30 pro that last huweai made with GMS ) but still pricy.
coyz, 11 Jun 2020that ugly notch destroys the whole specs of the phone! It’s a hole-punch cutout. Honestly idk why people think it’s ugly. Yes it’s big but so is the notch on the iPhone 11 Pro Max. It’s big but not protruding, that’s the main difference between a notch and a hole-punch. In fact this is a step up from the notch from the P30 Pro, as it doesn’t have the biometric capabilities of the p40 pro and pro plus.
