Not P40 pro is not the pioneer for photography.
P40 Pro is goo... more"P40 Pro is good only for night / extremely low light photography"
"its not the iPhone 11 pro for videos"
Those statements are absolutely not true.
Phones camera with most versetality :
P40 Pro Plus (Night, Zoom, HDR) it may not be the best for any scenario, but at least it can give you an usable footage or photos at any conditions (pitch black, far, only exception is Ultrawide, which isn't as wide)
Phone cameras with best quality :
Iphone 11 Pro/P40 Pro Plus/S20 Ultra (watercolor)
Regedit, 23 Jul 2020Did you check the Vivo X50 pro samples.?? May be you shall reconsider your opinionsTry pitch black. Huawei easily wins in videos. Even when Huawei in auto mode, competitors at Night mode, they achieve the same amount of image quality. Very impressed with Huawei, unlike S20 Ultra which uses High Tech sensor but worse results than Small sensored Iphone and pixels at nighttime. X50 Pro wins in stabilization only. Try Pitch black video with any of them, Huawei in ultrawide. My vote would go with Huawei for producing an usable footage
Blackk Mamba , 23 Jul 2020Video is not good on p40 pro. Sure you can see in dark at the cost of unnecessary extra noise ... moreBetter to be able to do it with some problems rather than not. S20 Ultra has same sensor and pixel size as P40 Pro, but lacks behind it. Huawei's Ultrawode camera is even better tha some main cameras in lowlight, that's a fact. For video always use the ultrawide. Samsung's image and video pricessing is so bad even though the hardware is very good like Huawei's. Nighttime video Huawei and Iphone is king.

"The S20 Ultra is the phone incarnation of the concept of "bragging rights." It focuses so much on bragging that it misses some of the basics of what makes a smartphone great. But the S20 Ultra doesn't care. It's more interested in you not forgetting that you are getting the biggest zoom from the biggest camera bump on Samsung's biggest phone."
Nailed, this just shows what we all see from Samsung fanboys all the time, it's all about numbers and bragging rights, no-matter how the device or features actually work as long as there long paper specsheet with high numbers. But well based on very low sale numbers for S20, it's nice to see Samsung fanboys are waking up and not being so easily brainwashed by this stuff anymore.

Sony Xperia 1 II is as good as any flagship and you should know that the pro camera app is altogether different. I wish Adobe comes up with a similar or better app
No, its not the iPhone 11 pro for videos, Galaxy Note 10 Plus & S20 Ultra have better videos ( considering any given conditions & stabilization).
If you are thinking about an all rounder its iPhone 11 pro max for this year.
Lets wait and see what Note 20 has to bring to the competition.

The Low light video at pitch black is insane, no other have caught to this. 2019,Huawei released P30 Pro that can see in the dark in photos. While, the Mate 30 Pro and P40 Pro/Pro Plus can see in the dark while in video mode.

i will wade in with some honest and real advice. Personally i think the S20 ultra is over hyped because of the 100x zoom. But the phone itself is good. having worked in the mobile industry and owned almost 30 mobiles over the last 30 year. I will say what i feel is true.
Firstly for photography you wont get a better phone than Huawei P40 Pro. its pretty damn amazing.
For stability and amazing video quality then it would be iPhone 11 Pro.
For the screen quality you will not get better than Samsung Super Amoled screens. There the best in the business.
But the sad fact is all these devices are not the best for battery life. As for this 120hz screen refresh rate everyone is going anal over. Personally not much point of having a beautiful 120hz to watch a film for a few hours than flat battery.
So all in all. if i had to buy a new phone. Im thinking iPhone 11 pro. But i am so happy with my S10.
What? 4 hours on screen on?? My Xiaomi MI 9T gives me 10 hours xd xd xd

In my opinion the Galaxy S series are not real flagship for samsung, because samsung never perfect S to leave a lot of things for Note series.
Android.Master, 21 Jul 2020Find X2 pro is better in video compared to both S20 ultra and P40 pro. When did I even talk about Find X2 Pro?

https://youtu.be/fkKRXk3cp0MI prefer phones that give me Versetality. Colours can be tweaked, while detail, softness can't. Samsung's Night mode took up to 7 seconds while Huawei's auto mode crushes Samsung's Night mode. Samsung wins in the ultrawide department, 4x zoom and higher (Night), Color consistency, video at 4k60fps. When other brand wins, it is only by a little, but when Huawei wins, it is very far ahead of the competition.
Competitors : 2 - 10 seconds night mode
Huawei : less than half a second
This was Dissapointing because The S20 ultra has the same size sensor and same pixel size and Nona Binning. Samsung's processing is now very bad, not only on midrange, but also on flagships. Samsung wins in colours, ultrawide, video. Others, including selfie, is Huawei's cake.
Competitors : 1

Why are we even talking about sony they are a dead mobile brand, barely sell and barely relevant anyway. They pulled out of a lot of markets so to many they don’t even matter anymore.
