I agree that the Pixel 4A is for sure waaay
overrated! I have the Blu Vivo XL4 and much of the 4A is very similar to it! The one feature I hate on the my Blu is the call dialing UI. If an error is made in dialing it can't be corrected, you must start all over again! The 4a has the same exact dialing UI..Apps missing can't reinstall most, Screen is dim even at maximum brightness with high intensity with night light turned off! The 4A has a few improved features and a lot of bloat to disable and block tracking your activity. I was happy to get a new phone with better calling features only for this pixel 4a to have the same calling UI as the $150 Blu phone for $200 more! Ugh ugh. I was stunned! That was the one main thing I was anxious to get rid of!!! A major deal breaker!

This article literally gives you a standard measure of its battery life and says that it's extremely average, and yet it's somehow 'amazing'. Lol

Don't equate your personal preferences to objective quality. Updates are one thing, but saying that the pixel has some otherworldly software features a class above everything else is ridiculous.

What it lacks in hardware it more than makes up for with incredible software. It's a very pleasing and strangely relaxing experience. Trust me... It's better rounded than all in it's price range. Good sound from the speakers and aux, surprisingly good battery, amazing camera, many useful software features that just make lazy people feel at home, the build quality is honestly fantastic(didn't think it would be), the buttons are very clicky with no wobble, the haptics feedback from the vibration motor is really pleasing(sometimes addicting. Such as when scrolling through letters), the display gets bright enough to clearly use outside, also gets dark enough for night use, the colors are decently accurate for the price and nothing that you'll be able to distinguish with the human eye. All in all... Solid build. The only thing that I could really ask for is a 12mp front facing camera and a 90hz display. This is my favorite phone so far.

This pixel 4a is just overrated , it stand nowhere near other chinese midrange phones, Brands like Tecno are using a more advanced chip better cameras and way better battery together with fast charging, They just barned huawei which its midrange smartphones competes with the high end smartphones at a very low price. consider Huawei nova 7i which beats this google pixel 4a in everything ,
From internals to the body itself with and it costs almost half the price. go DIE USA

This review overlooks the fact that the 4a only has two, instead of three, microphones, for noise suppression. So noise cancelling, of background noise, in calls and with video recording, will be worse than on typical flagship phones.
Also the screen is Gorilla Glass 3, which is was introduced in 2013, so that's way out of date. The screen will not be nearly as durable as newer phones.

Great deal for a great, fast, smooth device with decent camera, long battery, and some other decent specs. BUT.. but i lose signal way too often because it doesn't have all the bands in it that Tmobile uses. So, it works, but not ALL the time. Time to upgrade to a device that wont leave me without connection from time to time.

I'm looking for a non Chinese small screen mob. There is Samsung, but everything with them is monstrous these days. I need a phone not a tablet. Iphones and Pixels are the left options in terms of reliable brands. Apple products are like a jail and then Pixels were too heavily priced untill 3a. I believe 4a is for everyone who wants a small phone from a good brand with modern features. This is not about the best phone, it's about the best option. Going for it.

Not even a blip on the radar. Sure, you can jump through hoops and order them online, but there's no guarantee they'll work on your carrier and they certainly don't work on many of the radio bands used here.

There is a huge demand for phones that can fit in your pocket, use with one hand and don't weigh a ton. And that's why the 4a is currently sold out at amazon, BB, etc.

To all you people commenting that this phone is not good enough for the price, I hope your not in the U.S. I am, and this is my only true midrange option. I would get the nord if I could, or even a xiaomi, but all those internationally unlocked phones never work the same on a U.S network as a native phone does. You all are so spoiled. I can't even buy a cheap Samsung A71 here with the right 4g bands!
