What the heck is wrong with Google and you would think they have learnt from their mistakes in the past with countless compaint abou the pathethic battery life of of Pixel 4 and Xl is not that much better either.'
Seriously....one might think that maybe Google is trying really hard to win an Award for the smallest battery they can squeeze in a phone in 2020 (or the the worst battery life for a named phone maker) LOL .....anything less than 4000Mah is NOT acceptable by todays standard., for that reason I will not buy the pixel again :(
Most buyers today wants a larger hence longer battery life NOT less, you got many mid and lower tiered phones going for 4,000-6000Mah & in some extreme case I believe there is even a 10,000Mah phone and yet Google is heading the opposite direction....go figure???

But I was not comparing to flaghips, I was comparing to similar equiped phones.

Anonymous, 15 Aug 2020Really? With 4 GB RAM, no UFS storage and 1 year less of updates. I can see only one smart choice. What are you even taking about?
One year extra update is overrated. ANDROID runs fine without latest updates.
Most flagships from last year have 6gb RAM, versatile cameras, better battery life and fast charging, top notch flagship processor that will run anything you throw at it for the next 5 years unlike Snapdragon 730 which will start to slow down before the 3 year mark.

Every other review except gsmarena mentioned that pixel 4a has the best battery life among the pixel lineup! And yeah considering how crap iPhone se2 is for that price..I will go for this instead!

Google is trying to police which cloud services people use or if they have the convenience of living without it and having another backup location for their files.
the android market is already different to iPhone, more geeks/enthusiasts so base storage standards should be higher

All them also w... moreThe xperia 5 has the same battery size, but a flapship cpu and a bigger oled display. It got 96h whereas 4a with stock android only got 76h.
I saw some real world tests on youtube and they're getting over 6 hrs sot and sometimes maybe even 7 on the 4a, which is more or less the same as the xperia 5. Feels like something's wrong with this test...

800+ nits of brightness with auto mode? Hallelujah, my ONE complaint of Pixels not being good in direct sunlight is resolved. Keep this going forward and I'm a happy customer. I get my 4a a few days late from Best Buy, but I'm hype for it!

I used it for two years, many times fell down always in a case but without a screen protector. This phone is still is excellent condition. Gorilla 3 is sufficiently strong.

Anonymous, 15 Aug 2020No, when it comes to the OIS of the Pixel 3a, you will often get at least slightly blurry imag... moreActually in Pixel 4 HDR+ is hidden inside the nightsight when the latter is used under light conditions (ie not in dark). Try it. You will see excellent photos taken very fast since under light Pixel 4 nightsight is very fast.
